GP2 Question…. (12 posts)

Hello All. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a way that I could watch GP2 races in the United States.

While I don’t follow the series much – I am told there is some great racing. It also seems like it is a bit of “feeder” series for Formula One. The rookies this year Pastor Maldonado and Sergio Perez come to mind. Am I right in stating that Lewis Hamilton was a GP2 Champ?

Any help would be appreciated! I apologize if this sort of thing was mentioned before on these forums – this is my first time visiting the F1 Fanatic forums.

SPEED airs the GP2 races right before the F1 races. So tune in or set your DVR for 6am this Sunday to catch the first race

I think there’s also a race today, after F1′s qualy.

And, if you haven’t, I recommend you read this: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2011/05/04/26-gp2-drivers-racing-f1-star/

Race 1 was won by Jules Bianchi, but lets hope for a slightly less chaotic start to the F1 race than today’s GP2 start.

The race was won by Grosjean, Bianchi ended 3rd.

Ah, I didn’t see the race but when I looked at the results on the GP2 website it said Bianchi 1st earlier. Lol oops! I must’ve been seeing things!
Thanks for sorting that out. :)

This is my first season of following GP2 properly (I hope) and it looks like it’s going to be a good one with the talent available.

Amazing what you can do with less downforce and spec chassis…

Just saw some of the race today, makes F1 seem a little tame in terms of action!

GP2 Race to day was FANTASTIC… Im now expecting the F1 later to be a dissapointment after that.. surely?
But anyway, great drive from the brit Sam Bird to take 3rd from Pic on the last lap after a safety car period due to some poor driving by Leal to take out Rigon in a big way on the straight. Great win for Coletti and a 2nd for van der Garde. After dropping to the back Grosjean fought his way back up to 10th thus securing the fastest lap point. Great race and looking to be a great season.
