Thought I’d share this BBC Group B rally programme.
Absolutely crazy, Peugeot 205s, Audi Quattros, Lancia Delta ect all the legendary cars, and some of the famous names in rally, Stig Blomqwist and Ari Vatenen. I’m not a huge rally fan but it was Pretty interesting, the speed and power was remarkable, but the safety and crowd management was awful back them, while watching it becomes the manufacturers were pushing the limits to much and something had to change to make it safer!
Was Rally really more popular than F1? What was TV coverage of rally like back then?
