Rest in peace Luis, though I did not know you, see you, or hear of you, you lived your dreams. And for that, I look up to you.
Terrible news. It’s always tragic to hear of someone losing their life whilst competing in motorsport.
Thoughts are with his friends and family. RIP
Τerrible news. RIP Luis.
More awful news this morning as Macau Touring Car Cup racer Phillip Yau Wing Choi has lost his life following a crash at the circuit today.
He was driving a Chevrolet Cruze for the Look Fong Racing Team and crashed at Mandarin Bend during qualifying. Statement here:

Is this the most fatal Macau GP so far?
RIP to both racer.
This is awful. RIP to both drivers, and of course let’s hope the weekend has no more fatal accidents.
This isn’t good, I’m not going to pretend I knew either of the two racers but it’s sad to have two fatalities over the weekend. Please, no more.
RIP
Some thoughts via Twitter from Roberto Chinchero, who’s covering the race:
It was a bad day in Macau. Some says that macau bikers know the risk of this track, but i’m sure they come here sure to back home. — Roberto Chinchero (@RobChinchero) November 15, 2012

Whenever a tragedy happened in a circuit, in the press room come the vultures! — Roberto Chinchero (@RobChinchero) November 16, 2012

Absolutely awful news. We all know that motorsport is dangerous, and that Macau isn’t exactly a Tikle-drome, but it’s still shocking when a tragedy happens.
