Picture on WordPress main page

Hey folks; sorry to be so completely off the mark here; (I did after all put this into the “Not F1” section :P) but if you look at blogs using WordPress; such as F1F itself, where the main page is all showing just the article titles and first few lines of the article, and a picture, how exactly do you get the picture to show up? Does anyone know?
