The best part is where he even stands up on that bike and puts his arms up in the air while the others go on racing. That guy must be absolutely devastated.

He was so convinced he won… poor fella. That’s what the checkered flag is for, to announce the end of the race!

@lauromoura I remember that! It’s Bjorn Wirdheim who walked off with the 2003 F3000 championship (even with that blunder), did some testing for Jaguar, then disappeared. I think he did Le Mans for a while, but I don’t know where he is now.

edit: No Le Mans, but he did do Formula Nippon, then back to Swedish national racing. No idea where he is now.

edit 2: Seems to be in Super GT now. Probably.
