Is Ron Dennis going into politics? Or has he gone nuts, as suggested elsewhere on this forum?
Read about the vision he presented for Britian yesterday in Parliament. Some Ronspeak, but to me his main points pretty much sum up what Britain, indeed what the most of Europe needs.
Instead of looking at research and know-how in technology the focus has been far to much on financial hocus pocus for the next years. To make a living in the future, 4 things are needed:
1. Education (in particular in Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering)
2. Investment in R&D
3. participation in succes – i.e. working together
4. “dare to try” – stop being afraid of failure on the road to succes (like going trial and error)
Does it make sense for you as well? Read the speech in the link below.
every politician or entrepreneur I’ve heard has always praised R&D, the role of education, etc. The problem is that they’ve always acted in the opposite way (except for a few people).
