Been lurking here for a year, so I thought it was time to register. I’m not one to comment on every story and opinion, but I’ll contribute on occasion.

Looking forward to the very best part of the F1 season, the European, the British, and the Canadian races.

I am Vinicius and I’ve been watching F1 since the 90′s, even tough “watching” in the early 90′s meant sit in the couch with my toy steering wheel waiting for when cockpit camera takes where shown so I could pretend I was driving. I’m brazilian and early 90′s is when Senna was still there, so every TV in the country would be tunned in the race anyway.
I’ve been watching the races more “consciously” since maybe 2003 or 04.
I live in southern Brazil (city called Curitiba).

I think the first time I visited the site was maybe 2 years ago. I have registed myself a few months ago when it became mandatory for responding surveys I think, and I don’t regret as by doing so I learned about the forum which is great.

*stands up* My name is Scott and I’m a Twitter-holic.
Been a F1 fan for many years, however I can be found on Twitter blabbering about MotoGP more.

    Join the fun!

I suppose posting in this thread when you’re on the F1F forum is a bit like the required use of both tyre compounds during the race… So here I am to do my obligatory introduction duties.

“Hello. I was born into F1 during the 1980′s. I’ve loved it ever since. And although I wasn’t particularly a daddy’s girl, I’d make sure he had to take me to work as often as possible. Somehow, I managed to steer away from that world and stumble into very different study domains once all grown up. But that’s okay, I’m absolutely cool and jiggy and down with being a pure spectator. Racing Sundays at my home mean that I’ll get up early to cook a nice meal with a delicious dessert, that I’ll put up my hair in that cute way and be an angel until the BBC coverage begins. It’s all about smothering the competition, you see. Then, it’s all hands off deck and the reign of the laptop begins. I turn into a little devil you better not wish to disturb. Don’t expect me to back up a particular driver. I’m a bit of a free electron who’ll stand by her emotions. Right now, I’m on a “Poor little Paul” (DIR) roll.”

Hi, Sammy Dulledge here, been watching F1 since Australia 2002, I still remember that first corner collision and Mark Webber’s Minardi points.. Grew up through the Schumi years, Alonso and Hamilton, and now Vettel. Was born in 1995, so missed Senna, but saw the film recently and fully understand how influential he was along with Prost, Mansell and Piquet… Currently own a Wii with F1 09, and a PS2 with F1 97 (PS1) and F1 ’02… But desperately want the new F1 11 to come out on the Wii U… My name is based on Keeley Hawes, who I absolutely love, and I’m sure when she finally acknowledges my existence we’ll be happy together… XD

Also trying to run a F1Fanatic Wii competition for anyone who would be interested in entering, express an interest on the forum (Under the post ‘An F1F Championship for those of us who don’t have PS3′s’.. XD

    Hello there :)
My name is Andy Tomson, but most people call me ‘Tommo.’ I’m 17, and live in Wellingborough, England. I started watching F1 when I was only about 5, so from 1999 onwards. I’m a regular visitor to F1Fanatic, but I hardly post :P I would say I support the McLaren drivers, but I always like to root for the underdog. I spent most of my time on the PS3 and YouTube, where I do gaming videos :) And thats pretty much it :D

Never realised I hadn’t introduced myself until now! My name is Paul and I am from Northampton, England which is about 30 minutes drive away from Silverstone, although shockingly I have never been to a Grand Prix there despite its close proximity. Seems to be a few Northants people on these boards, quite surprising as it is a small county in the UK.

I’m 19 and have just finished my first year studying Biochemistry at Christ Church college, Oxford University. Been watching F1 as long as I can remember although my dislike for a certain German driver and team in red caused me to switch off in the mid 00′s. My favourite drivers would be Damon Hill or Kimi Raikkonen, although currently probably would be Button or Kubica

Hi. I’m Kath. I’m a retired careworker, too old to be an F1 fan I expect (all my friends think I’m weird). As I’ve just joined this forum I must confess to being a Schumacher fan first and an F1 fan second, having been a fan since way back when Michael was winning everything with Ferrari and have really loved having him back even with the less than wonderful (though very beautiful) silver car… <sigh> Bitterly disappointed over the latest BBC decision, hell hath no fury like a Shuey fan deprived. But that’s life. At 62 I’ve lived long enough to know that it mostly consists of disappointments. Que sera, sera.

Hi! I’m Cristian. I’m from Romania. I am 25.I visit several times a day F1 Fanatic, but I do not post so often. I watch F1 since 1996. My all time favourite is Michael Schumacher.
I am also a big supporter of Jenson Button, Nick Heidfeld, Sebastian Vettel.

Hello! I’m Lennie, and having been an F1 fan for 25 years, I’m not sure why it took me so long to find this site!
I’m a Lewis fan, with a huge soft spot for Kamui, and back in the 90′s I was a fully paid up member of the Damon Hill fanclub!

Hi, my name is Jacob, I’m from Denmark. I’ve been following F1 since 2001 and my favourite drivers are Felipe Massa, Michael Schumacher and Adrian Sutil. I’ve been a fan of Ferrari since I saw Michael winning it all in the early ’00s.

    And, btw, I’m awesome.

Hi my name is Marty, from Ireland.

I love F1, and have followed this site since 2006. However I don’t really post comments, but find it really interesting to read all of your opinions.

Followed Ferrari in early 2000′s until the story came out about their being able to influence FIA rule changes. I now follow McLaren after Ron’s departure and now they have 2 great drivers whom they allow to race against one another.

I also think that given all their effort over the last few decades, they are long overdue a Constructor’s Title.

    Hi, I’m David, from Germany.
I think I have watched Formula 1 since kindergarten and currently there’s one year of school left for me. I am a huge Ferrari and Fernando Alonso fan. Here in Germany aren’t much Alonso fans and I know only one other Ferrari fan in my grade(approximately 170 people) and he’s Italian, all the other ones who are interested in F1 are Vettel fans.

Hey everyone. I’m James Brickles, teenager from West Yorkshire.

I’ve been following F1 since 2003 and what got me interested in the sport was a young Finn called Kimi Raikkonen. Brazil was my first race I watched and although Kimi didn’t win that race, I found his performance there just unbelievable and have been supporting him ever since. I just wish the channel ‘Dave’ continued showing the WRC so I could continue following his career.

Nowadays, I’m not sure who my favourite F1 driver although I have 3 particular that I’m keen on. Robert Kubica, (to me, one of the best racers) Kamui Kobayashi, (a joy to watch) and Vitaly Petrov (another good racer but I like his character and sense of humour).

    @Renner

Hallo und willkommen in F1Fanatic, David! :)

I actually speak German partly because of Formula One as I hadn’t much access to the English media when I was a kid. So I watched the races on RTL, started to read German F1 magazines and that definitely improved my German (though it’s still not as good as I would like to). I have also been trying to take part in German F1 internet forums but imho F1F beats them all so now I am here and glad to meet German guys, too :)
