Good thread Damon!
What keeps you awake at night?
If I’m tired enough, nothing. I can go to bed angry, sad, sick, whatever – if I’m tired, I fall flat like nothing happened and wake up in a completely different state of mind.
If you could banish one thing from your life – for the rest of your life – what would it be?
Hypocritical people. Specially the kind that predents to do things “for the good of the community” but who in really only care about the interest of a single group or party (I have to put up with these people a lot at my university)
What’s been your most valuable ‘life’ lesson?
Always be open minded about the people around you. You never know, the best friend you will ever have in your life, or your wife / husband might be that random friend of a friend of yours!
What do you admire most?
Friendship. There is nothing more valuable in life than people who always believe in you, who are always there for a good laugh and a much needed reprimand.
When were you happiest?
Eh, I don’t know. Probably when I started dating my girlfriend some three years ago.
If you could give your younger self some advice what would it be?
Stop caring about people who doesn’t care about you at all.
If you had to stay in one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?
Anywhere where the temperatures never go above 25°C :P On a more serious note, I’ve never really thought about that. I’ve never left my home country, and to make that decision, you have to know the place very well! But very strong candidates would be Japan, Norway, Sweden and Germany
What animal best reflects your personality?
A sloth :P
What is more important in life than winning?
Being true to your principles.
What would you spend your last dollar on?
I have no idea. If we’re talking about the last dollar before I die, why should I even care about buying things?
What is your greatest weakness?
How does it feel to be considered a hero?
What scares you?
Loneliness I guess. Thank God I never had to go through it, but I can’t even imagine how I’m going to react when I lose someone precious (and the scary part is that it is completely unavoidable, unless I die really young, something I really don’t wish for :P)
What event can’t you forget but wish you could?
Nothing. Every event is valuable – every little thing that happens in your life is what shapes who you are.
What’s your ultimate comfort food?
I’m gonna go with Damon here – chocolate is just amazing.
What’s your favourite smell?
Anything my girlfriend wears :P
What tastes like home?
What’s the first thing you do when you get home after a race?
Pack my wheel and turn off the computer :P
