Q: Are you the kind of guy to have a ‘Plan-B’?
Well, I’m a girl to begin with. So erm, definitely not the kind of “guy to have a ‘Plan-B’”. However, gender discussion aside, I don’t have any type of back-up solutions except in situations where it’s really needed. I do tend to come up with a ‘Plan-B’ very quickly if needed. Improvisation is my area of knowledge.
Q: Who is your dream date?
I don’t do pedestals. I’ll fall for whomever I fall.
Q: Which film last made you cry?
Nostalgia for the Light. I don’t do rom-coms but when documentaries approach science and history through the lense of poetry, it’s time to take out the tissues.
Q: What are you afraid of?
Someone I love (or simply know) suffering without anyone taking notice.
Q: What was the last book you read?
The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. In English.
Q: What is your favourite way to relax?
Doing nothing, pure farniente. It’s not a loss of time, it’s a gain in general appreciation.
Q: Have you ever – or would you ever – dye your hair?
Have never. Will probably. Society, pressure, womanhood and all that jazz. Eventually, I’ll start having a couple of grey ones and need the magic remedy.
Q: Name five things that you hate?
I try not to hate. But I can’t help profoundly disliking injustice, the Twilight books and lack of loyalty.
Q: Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
None. Not even pierced earlobes.
Q: What did your teachers say about you in your school reports?
I usually had very good remarks. With the occasional “could do even better” or “should mind her own business a little more”. But overall, I was a top grade student that was well liked.
Q: Who were your childhood heroes?
Yoko Tsuno
Q: Do you have any guilty pleasures?
Dark bitter chocolate, perfume (I must have over 10 bottles in use, crowding my tiny fridge) and old books.
Q: Do you collect anything?
If you didn’t know I’d studied Literature, you could say I “collect” books. But really, I don’t. They’ve just taken over the place over the years. It started when I was a child.
But no, I don’t collect anything. It goes against my nature. And I’m not organised enough for it. I also get bored rather quickly of things.
Q: What was your worst buy?
A lovely big old cupboard that doesn’t fit into my building’s small staircase. It looks lonely and forlorn in my mother’s garage.
Q: How do you take your coffee?
Only have some when I’m in a proper coffee region where I can trust how they brew the stuff. In that case, a simple black ristretto.
Q: Your ideal non-race Sunday morning?
Sleep in. Until noon. Fresh croissants.
Q: What was your first vehicle?
A small F1 replica car not suitable for young children. I was an infant. Apparently, I almost choked on a part.
Q: What’s the most embarrassing mistake you’ve ever made?
I’ve had a couple of rather embarrassing moments in life, but none of them were mistakes.
Q: What is the best thing you can cook?
It’s ironic: apparently, I’m great at preparing game meat, especially pheasant (old family recipes) and do the whole thing (the entire prepping process of the meat). But I’m a vegetarian myself. Sigh.
Q: When was the last time you were really angry?
I think I’m going to be very angry in a few days’ or weeks’ time. For personal reasons.
