    @polishboy808: You’re spot on with the Euro version of the Passat having the same chassis as the A4. Even the Jetta has the same one. We have a model here called CC which has A6, Scirocco as well I think. Not sure, they’re all business class vehicles and so I don’t keep tabs on them. I also love the Volkswagen/Audi/Skoda line of cars, VW is always a good bargain. Interesting point you have made with the Passat and the A4, I’ll remember that if I ever buy one. Thanks. :)

    1999 Peugeot 306, 1.4, cheap and cheerful and the heating does not work!
    At least the aircon/brakes/engine/gearbox etc. works for now.

    Would like to get something faster but not necessarily newer soon, I dislike most new cars.

    @Brickles

    The fact that I live in Bradford, one of the worst places in terms of insurance, compounds that.

    I think that insurance may come down in Bradford… Now that Batman’s on Patrol!

    @Aish Herefordshire! I see quite a few around, all with similarly sticker ridden rear windscreens featuring MotoGP. :P I do have an Alonso sticker there too. I’m not entirely sure on the engine front, it’s a 1.1 GL and the car’s from 2004. I like driving it around windy roads but I think either my clutch is so worn that the biting point is just too damn high! So, city driving is unnecessarily painful. And, I don’t like how small the fuel tank is. I’d fiddle with the gear ratios if I could to make it slightly more economical for longer trips. But yeah! Not bad for my first car. :p

    Looking at an Abarth 500 or a Kia GT for my next beast. [:

    @comabvbsixx I recently got rid of a 2009 Fiat Grande Punto because the electrics were failing, so if you look at an Abarth 500 (which shares some components with the Punto) then watch out for that.
