Stratos is a great idea. Can’t really fault anything else on the list. You could use the 49B instead of the 49 if you prefer that colour scheme.

Thanks for the suggestions so far everybody, nearly there now!

The hard part though is choosing just 10 (which is my intention for various reasons I won’t go into right now) as there are so many great machines to choose from. I may even have to drop the Lotus 49B :(

RoboCAT: Cars only, maybe I’ll do bikes in a future series.

The 787B is more memorable in my opinion than the Porsche (plus it’s got a monster of an engine sound).

Also, the mention above of the Quattro Pikes Peak reminds me of another awesome vehicle: The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak

Anyways, this is what I’m thinking at the moment:

Just wondering, would there be complications if I created the McLaren poster? I remember Unlap.co.uk having issues with using McLaren stuff last year.

Regarding the design of these, the cars will have no actual branding/lettering on them, they’ll essentially be blank but with the basic colour setup of the car they feature.

As an example, just imagine this without all the sponsor logos:

I can’t remember if that Suzuki actually accomplished anything other than being the most incredible machine in Gran Turismo. 787B is a good idea.

These ones are nailed down, I’m not 100% sure on the final car though. The Alfa seems to make the most sense.

If you wanted another le mans car then the Jag XJR-9 or 12 are good colours.

The Jag was suggested on another forum too :)

Depending on how successful these are I’ll do a second set which will give us more freedom on what to choose.

I would suggest as the 10th car either an Indycar (not the current one, but a historic one) or possibly a much older f1 car, possibly 60′s era.

For the Le Man cars (and their all good choices) Ive always thought of the Porsche 917 (of the early 70s) as a iconic car immortalised by Steve McQueen in “Le Man”, whilst it wasnt the Team Gulf Porsches that won the races, I just like them more then the 956s. However, they won Le Man closer to the GT40 (which needs to be done), so maybe its less of an ideal choice.

If you cant think of a BTCC car, perhaps on the the Front Engined F1 cars like Maserati 250F or the Mercedes W196 ?

Something a little bit ‘out there’

9 Time Bathurst 100 winner Peter Brock’s Holden Torana which he drove to victory in 1978 and 1979. Its a truely iconic car down here in Australia.
