I’m very happy to see that those horrible things that happened to him didn’t really change him. He’s always been very mature and realistic person. Now that he started to communicate with the media himself will will have much clearer picture of what’s happening with him. If something didn’t come from his mouth, it didn’t happen. From what we’ve seen in the media coverage from this particular rally, his hand in its current state makes it impossible to return to F1 now (largely limited mobility of the elbow and wrist, limited hand grip strength, contracture of muscles in fingers). It remains to be seen how much he can improve, yet competitive rallying seems to be his worst case scenario. I’m eagerly waiting to see him compete in WRC with the big guns. Today’s rally was, as he said, a part of the rehabilitation process with a touch of fun.
