    So round two hasn’t got off to the best of starts with rain cancelling the test session yesterday. Today’s qualifying session has been delayed by an hour as a result. As far as TV times are concerned here, this is the schedule for UK viewers (those in continental Europe get a bit more live coverage). The two races are back to back.

    Qualifying 11:45 BST Eurosport/Eurosport HD (highlights)
    Race 1 16:00 BST Eurosport/Eurosport HD
    Race 2 17:00 BST Eurosport/Eurosport HD

    I’m hoping for the other sessions there will be live commentary on the WTCC website as was the case at Monza.

    Muller quickest over Tarquini by under a tenth. Chilton in 3rd followed by Tarquini’s teammate, Norbert Michaeliz with James Thompson 5th in the Lada

    With the help of commentary and live timing I’m keeping up to date with qualifying. Q1 has just been red flagged after a crash for Tiago Monteiro.

    Gabriele Tarquini is on pole position ahead of James Nash. Fernando Monje is on pole for race two.

    Tom Chilton fastest in warm-up, it sounds like there was a nasty accident for Tom Boardman and he might not take part in the races this afternoon.

    The Auto GP support race was delayed due to repairs to the track. Boardman was taken to the medical centre and then to a nearby hospital for checks.

    Looking at the damage on the car (basically the whole front has gone) that must have been one heck of an impact, it sounded big when I was listening to the commentary. Glad to see he’s alright.

    Alex MacDowall was also a lucky chap in that he wasn’t a few yards further ahead on the road.

    Wow, that was pretty nasty. Had the car in front been just a couple of metres more ahead, the driver may have suffered from potentially fatal injuries.

    Michel Nykjaer takes his first WTCC win and also the first for NIKA. He also maintains the record like we had at the Chinese Grand Prix until a few years ago where there is yet to be a repeat winner at the Race of Morocco.

    And now Pepe Oriola has taken his first WTCC win. The no repeat winners in Morocco record still stands.

    Unimpressed with both races. Terrible track, way too much time spent behind the safety car. Virtually no racing to speak of, just a couple of crashes. Complete waste of time.

    I don’t know why they bother having a lot of those chicanes when they all cut them anyway and there was too much time behind the safety car I agree. The racing was actually very good for that circuit though and a bit better than the wet races at Monza, as far as street circuits go Pau was a lot better.

    One thing the safety car did do in the second race was keep Oriola at the front and stop another boring Muller victory where he gets past everyone and then disappears off down the road! It’s also the first event since the 2010 Race of Spain where RML haven’t won a race.
