The WTCC will be racing on the Suzuka East Circuit this weekend, after the long course at Sonoma it’s good to see a shorter lap this weekend with lap times of less than a minute.
Honda were in the top 10 in testing on their works debut, Tiago Monteiro was 9th, just over a second off the pace of the Chevrolets.
Other changes this weekend include Darryl O’Young back at Bamboo Engineering and FIA GT1 team boss Rene Munnich in the second STR SEAT. Japan will be represented by Masaki Kano in a naturally aspirated Engstler BMW and Hiroki Yoshimoto in the Tuenti Racing Sunred Leon vacated by Monteiro.
I’ve checked in the Sky EPG and it would appear the Race of Japan will be shown on Eurosport HD but won’t be available in HD. So far the only other race this year that wasn’t shown in HD was Brazil, has there been any reason for this?
