With Webber and Button struggling with start this year and both starting on the dirty, I can see both losing a least to places on lap 1, espically to the Ferrari’s.

Good move by the team, Chandhok is a nice guy, but not good enough for F1 as seen at the Nurburgring GP.

Also Button tends to struggled in the first few laps (look at Monza, Silverstone, Canada, Barcelona) etc

It matches the pattern of Vettel v Liuzzi in 2007.
Liuzzi quicker in the first few races, but than Vettel/Ricciardo start to pull away.

Maybe but look at the facts
Alonso – 1 win, 4 second places, 3 third places. 202 points
Massa – best result 5th (4 times). 90 points
Even Irvine had a better record than that v Schumi.

Kobayashi scored 16 points in the two races Perez missed. So, in the races Perez has raced in the points are Perez 13-11 Kobayashi.

He came into F1 too quick, he scored the lowest ever mark in a Williams techincal test and it took him a few season to fully learn about car setup.
