Girts replied to the forum topic Worst F1 Race in the group
F1 1 day, 3 hours ago1997 Italian Grand Prix was the first really boring F1 race that I watched, the winner was decided in the pits and this was probably the most exciting moment of the race:

Girts commented on the post, Will Mercedes escape sanction at FIA Tribunal? 1 day, 3 hours ago
I think that Mercedes will be found guilty and will have to pay a considerable fine and lose some points in the constructors’ championship.
It is pretty clear that FIA doesn’t agree with Mercedes’ view on the […]

Yeah, but you just picked the two bastions of sportsmanship.
Ron Dennis, Flavio Briatore or Luca di Montemozolo however would jump all over something like this.

there is also the running to delta times,
How do you propose forcing the teams to do 2-3 stops per race, without having them want to conserve tyres?

Haha, I dunno, if it stays wet, Hamilton and Rosberg will be right up there.
Hell, Bottas might be as well!

I think Alonso’s biggest problem catching Vettel will be Webber.

Mike commented on the post, Raikkonen and Ricciardo given two-place grid drops 1 week, 3 days ago
It’s the problem of having a car so easy on it’s tyres. The car just doesn’t create the tyre temperate needed in the wet.
Kimi was never going to do well.

Mike commented on the post, Massa ‘never had three crashes so close together’ 1 week, 3 days ago
And every time he does badly two weeks in a row the opposite appears to happen.
Isn’t worthy of driving a Ferrari? Then why did Ferrari keep him on? Ferrari seems to think he is.

If that’s the case then he should fire his PR reps…

I think given how the Lotus is able to keep it’s tyres cool that in this situation it would backfire.
Expect him to move up in the race.

Girts commented on the post, It’s time Vettel had some bad luck, says Alonso 1 week, 5 days ago
I think it’s fair to say that Vettel has simply been better than Alonso so far this season. The German has outqualified his team mate in every race by a considerable average margin, while Alonso lost to Massa […]

Girts commented on the post, Showers expected through Montreal race weekend 1 week, 6 days ago
Pirelli must have bad karma. Rainy practice sessions prevented them from testing a new hard tyre compound last year and tomorrow doesn’t look like the best day for testing the new ‘anti-delamination’ tyres either.

Girts commented on the post, Ecclestone wants changes to Canadian GP venue 1 week, 6 days ago
I fully agree with @GeeMac ‘s COTD. I have been reviewing the 2004 F1 season lately and one has to be mad or a diehard Schumacher / Ferrari fan to call it a great season but I miss some aspects of it today, […]

Girts commented on the post, Ecclestone wants changes to Canadian GP venue 1 week, 6 days ago
I think Benson’s article, which is really rather an opinion piece, contains some useful analysis. The suggestion that Alonso might be losing it is really very speculative as one cannot draw such a conclusion just […]

Mike commented on the post, FIA calls Mercedes to Tribunal over test and dismisses case against Ferrari 1 week, 6 days ago
Definitely not I expect, on the basis that this was a stuff up by Mercedes team management. The drivers where there because that’s what the bosses told them to do.
