I wouldn`t head to Abbey. Its a very small GA viewing area with little or no banking and it will be a bun fight to get in to there. Becketts is good vieiwing but no overtaking. Stowe sees action and there is plenty of room down there. After the race there is party with crap music but the drivers come out to say hi.

If you get there a bit later ( 7am to 8am ) then there is always space at the Vale where the viewing is a little restricted as the slope could be steeper but you will see things and the atmosphere is great down there.
I`ve been in most grandstands on race day, in fact I have booked a stand at Copse this year but we are still getting up early on Sunday to go to the GA banking instead. I`ve found the atmosphere and banter on the banking is better and its also much more confortable in your own chair.3rd June 2013, 10:57 at 10:57 am #205534AlanKParticipantJust had a message from Silverstone on Facebook. Only 1 DRS zone to be used for the british GP. I was under the impression only Monaco and Suzuka were doing that this year.

For facilities etc Whittlebury is easily the best and they were the only site who stayed open last year even allowing everyone to park next to the tent.26th June 2012, 21:27 at 9:27 pm #181447AlanKParticipantHi Jonathan
Make the most of friday. Have a good walk around.
On Saturday you are free to move around if you want, no problem but it is busy…approx 90000 in attendance.25th June 2012, 16:15 at 4:15 pm #181439AlanKParticipantIan, the stage is near the Luffield/Brooklands complex which is now on the outside of the circuit.
Everyone, regardless of the weather take sun block. If the sun doesn`t get you, the wind will.19th May 2011, 18:15 at 6:15 pm #167889AlanKParticipantI have arim from a 1990`s Benetton. I use it as a bin in my garage!
