Going to the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas 1 year, 1 month ago Got the new email update just an hour ago. They’re advertising The Main Grandstand (start/finish), Turn 1, Turn 15 corner, and Turn 15. The pictures sort of do a decent job of making you understand what the view is like, but it doesn’t really show you the elevation at Turn 15. I also don’t quite understand how they’re numbering the turns, if turn 11 leads to the long back straight (presumably where DRS will be). Turn 15 would be 16, no?
And what exactly is a season ticket for F1 anyway? Do they mean a ticket that covers all motorsports at Circuit of the Americas, Austin for that entire year? Not much use for international or out-of-state visitors, or the F1 fan who don’t plan on attending the other motorsport events. Still not quite happy about the way they’re advertising this thing so far…. but to be honest, even though I live in the US, I don’t really give a hoot if the US has a F1 race or not since I enjoy traveling to the international races anyway. Just sad to see it become so ”corporate” with the tickets: ”Seat licenses”, ”season tickets” etc.
Just tell us where the grandstands are, and how much they cost for the weekend already.
