Petition to remove the man part-responsible for three time consecutive world champion Sebastian Vettel’s rise to fame, fortune and sporting prowess?
Pull the other one.
This is motorsport, not a political tyrant, don’t be so naive.9th February 2013, 11:33 at 11:33 am #224631
Hirvonen off? Not often we get one of those moments.7th February 2013, 22:38 at 10:38 pm #224629
Loeb wins opening stage. http://www.wrc.com/news/loeb-leads-after-swedish-opener/?fid=1827129th January 2013, 20:57 at 8:57 pm #224612
I read that S4C were showing highlights but I checked the TV guide extensively at the time and to no avail unfortunately.
You can catch it all on this YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/wrcforeva and it’s all usually uploaded within a day of broadcast on Speed.
It’s pretty rubbish to be honest. They had a golden opportunity to reinvigorate the championship this year with all the changes and that opportunity has gone.26th January 2013, 22:19 at 10:19 pm #224522
Lighten up people, jeez!25th January 2013, 7:02 at 7:02 am #210768
That’s an interesting livery, I quite like it.
The rear-end of this car is beautiful, love it!20th January 2013, 11:52 at 11:52 am #221110
Ah Jari :( He does this too often. The guy is quick, but often too quick for the stage. I hope this was just because he’s getting used to the car and we aren’t looking at another 2012 from him. Also, I hope he and Miikka are ok!
Pretty disappointed by the lack of any proper UK coverage (I’ve read about S4C having it on the WRC.com site but nothing in the TV listings…). Thankfully I can catch it all on YouTube.16th January 2013, 23:03 at 11:03 pm #221096
Decent start from VW with Ogier! Shame there’s such disparity in the times so far but it sounds like a nightmare out there for the tyres.8th January 2013, 19:21 at 7:21 pm #221074
I hope so! I would have thought Red Bull would be all over it like flies around poo had they signed a deal though…7th January 2013, 23:08 at 11:08 pm #218639
The car looks nice, pretty modest approach from the Red Bull side of things. Thanks for sharing the interview.7th January 2013, 22:31 at 10:31 pm #221072
Anyone any ideas what’s going o with coverage this year? I know Red Bull are the new promoters and it’s not like them to miss a marketing opportunity.
Thanks for the summary @polishboy808 much appreciated! Really looking forward to this season with all these changes, just hope it gets some decent coverage, particularly on the WRC radio as that really was poor last year.7th January 2013, 22:21 at 10:21 pm #217819
No Solberg’s at all is sad. They’re both great characters :)
Doesn’t surprise me though, that was my main concern when Ford announced their exit.22nd October 2012, 21:16 at 9:16 pm #211920
Rubbish news but it just all went wrong when Pro Drive left and they could only afford to keep Sordo on the payroll.
Maybe this will release Sordo and Meeke into the market which would go nicely with the new Hyundai involvement?20th October 2012, 9:11 at 9:11 am #211248
A rare bit of good news for this season and it’s a great sign that manufacturers are still willing to give to a sport that has really suffered in so many ways this year. The car looks like a simple, unassuming beast but very nice. I wonder who will be driving it?20th October 2012, 9:03 at 9:03 am #212786
@mazdachris It does seem like a silly decision when you look at it like that but I guess the big wigs at Ford would have decided this quite a while ago before they knew of Loeb’s situation. I would expect that their various resources and cash will have been allocated to something else by now.
Very sad, but at least the WRC is getting all its bad news in one season! 2013 could be fantastic if everything works into position.
