I asked Pirelli for exactly this information pre-season but they say they’re not able to supply it. However the text does refer to what the top ten drivers used.

It doesn’t really matter how it looks – no aesthetic argument will ever be enough to dissuade the FIA from implementing if a consensus is reached that this kind of measure is required. Indeed, if hypothetically […]

I know the Hungaroring also does this kind of package, also with 3 prices depending on which seat you take on Sunday.

Gap looks a little exaggerated because Ferrari didn’t set a competitive time on the Super softs. Nonetheless, I would be shocked if it’s anything other than a processional front row lockout for Mercedes. […]

Wow, Palmer is struggling – 0.9 slower than a guy that has never driven the car before. Sirotkin is a decent driver, but that is a bit concerning for Jolyon, he’s been nowhere since Melbourne.

Most noteworthy to me is how good the image at the top of this article is, where you can still see the driver.
@huhhii “To me Sochi is far better than Monza.”
I think I’m getting a nose-bleed. As a Monza regular, and having also had the privilege to attend most of world’s racetracks, Monza is categorically the best […]

Maybe this can be seen as an intermediate step to driver-less cars.
Nico Rosberg got his Russian Grand Prix weekend off to a strong start by lapping seven-tenths of a second faster than team mate Lewis Hamilton.
Rosberg, who took pole position for this race last year, used a […]
I think it using a standard FIA-prescribed design has to be the wise choice to avoid any cleverness with it @andae23; I personally am sceptical the extra downforce will make F1 much better, but I do like seeing […]

It seems to me that apart from there being a screen, the halo actually leaved the helmet much less exposed.
Also, that screen will mean aero is much more influenced (cooling and engine-air both) – with Red […]
The two competing solutions for improved F1 cockpit safety – the Aeroscreen and Halo – have now both appeared on the track.
Red Bull’s Aeroscreen appeared for the first time today during practice for the […]

Yeah Ferrari understood that in F1 sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow
Ferrari haven’t come up with anything innovative since 2008. Since 2010 they’ve been following Red Bull, and since 2014 […]

@petebaldwin To get meaningful data from this test the helmet would have to be positioned at the upper limit of where the driver’s helmet could be within a cockpit as defined by the rules.
Keep in mind that […]

Maybe there was something that attracted people to watch F1 races besides the lack of overtaking, or maybe there is something that now discourages people from watching F1 races … like the cost.
There were 5 d […]
Red Bull’s Aeroscreen has run on track for the first time during practice for the Russian Grand Prix.
Daniel Ricciardo tested the cockpit protection canopy on his RB12 at the Sochi Autodrom.

Its very obvious that Mclaren are hiding behind Honda’s problems.
I would think that their problems are compounded by Honda’s problems, but yes, having a disastrous PU takes the limelight away from an average c […]

Honda will need all the other engine manufacturers will have to drop their hp output to GP2 levels if engine equalisation is coming in to play.
Honestly, Honda just made engine equalisation […]
