@bascb Kimi really struggled there last year – let’s hope the more fragile Pirellis will be easier to warm up this time round.

Thanks a lot for clearing my doubt @bascb :)

@prisoner-monkeys and @bascb I was wondering whether this new announcement would impact the relationship between McLaren and Mercedes in that their co-operation. May be my sentence was not clear in that post.

@bascb fair point on the foundations of the cars, but them finalising all compounds by September would make a huge difference, as then the teams have ample time to test them at a variety of circuits and give […]

@bascb what I think they should do is pretty much as you suggest in the first instance: actually have all the compounds for the next season finalised by say September 1st, hence allowing the teams time to test […]

@bascb inaccurate data is as useless as no data. Obviously the teams haven’t found the data to be prefect, otherwise the majority of them wouldn’t have been having issues with the tyres! I’m not blaming Pirelli […]

@bascb Couldn’t the overall wear structure just changed, keeping the softness intact? Or are those two factors related?

Only Williams Honda did not really compete with McLaren Honda, did they?
@bascb lol, I wanted to say both “against each other” and “once again”, but adding those two things gives the exact opposite of what I wanted to say!

@bascb I’d agree with Williams and Lotus, but I think Williams is more likely (just a gut feel).

Prisoner Monkeys replied to the forum topic Honda to return in the group
F1 3 days ago@bascb – I reckon a throwback to the Yardley livery would work very well. It’s made up of thee colours, all of which work well for McLaren and their partners.
Firstly, there is the white, which has always been […]

F1 3 days, 1 hour ago@bascb – There’s no reason for McLaren to continue using silver. Especially when white is Honda’s colour.

And buy Toto Rosso and pair Daly and Koboyashi as drivers :). -

For an economic delict like this, a very heafty fine seems not unreasonable; especially given the suspects age, and lawyers, I am sure his health wouldn’t beat prison anyway @bascb ;)

I’d say Caterham has been adding piece as well, they just didn’t work until Spain. Seems that they’ve hit the spot and are heading to sensible improvement. Let’s see the next chapters.

@bascb ah well, sorry then!
I would think most people, judging from the comments on this site at least, perfer quality over quantity. I haven’t seen many applauding soft overtakes like the one I have referred […]

Good question, I am not sure overtaking and unpredictability is what people want to see
If I’m assuming this is sarcasm, then you didn’t read what I said. Ferrari, Red Bull and Lotus are the only ones to […]

@bascb did we really need that though? I’m guessing they are just assuming all we care about is unpredictable results, but we’re not really getting that currently. All the races have been won by Red Bull, Ferrari […]

@bascb why didn’t they just keep the 2012 compounds then?

@BasCB I actually think you’re right and I’m wrong, Ferrari and Lotus deserve their success. See my reply to @kingshark above. I just want to see the cars on the ragged edge of breaking point, not the tyres. I […]

Vettel!? Pfft, I couldn’t care less where The Vet finished. He’s rude, untalented and doesn’t deserve his 3 WDC’s, I hope he retires ASAP!Note: It’s still opposite day :P
