Brian commented on the post, Moss doubts women have “mental aptitude” for F1 1 month, 1 week ago
The man is 83. Of course his views on women are going to be out-dated. No need to be nasty to him. He has always liked the sound of his own voice and sometimes he even says stuff that’s worth listening to. But […]

Brian commented on the post, Who will win the battle of the team mates in 2013? 2 months, 1 week ago
I’m surprised the Williams vote is currently split down the middle. I expect Pastor to handle Bottas easily. That’s not to say Bottas will be bad. I just think Pastor is extremely quick, has added consistency […]

Brian commented on the post, Will F1′s UK audience recover from its 2012 slump? 2 months, 1 week ago
The Vettel ‘issue’ is solely one of dominance. The fans have done it before. The FIA had to knee-jerk change the points system when people were turning away in their droves as Schumacher marched to several […]

Brian commented on the post, Will F1′s UK audience recover from its 2012 slump? 2 months, 1 week ago
I think the biggest problem will always be PPV TV (Sky) versus terrestrial (BBC, ITV etc). A lot of people have Sky, but not enough on a national scale to compete with viewing numbers of terrestrial channels. So […]

Brian commented on the post, Two DRS zones for every track bar Monaco and Suzuka in 2013 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Artificial overtaking is here to stay. I suppose it’s a lot simpler than coming up with design rules that make overtaking inherently possible by limiting the amount of dirty air when following a car closely. Booooo-urns.

Brian commented on the post, Which team has the best driver line-up for 2013? 2 months, 3 weeks ago
It’s got to be Vettel and Webber and then I would probably put Hamilton and Rosberg next.

Brian commented on the post, Toro Rosso aim high with heavily revised STR8 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Well this is all very positive and ambitious of them. It also makes a bit of a mockery of Ted Kravitz’s notebook programme that said the STR was basically the same as last year apart from one change (the identity […]

Brian commented on the post, HRT’s failure is a small but significant loss for Formula One 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Bernie always said if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen and that if you couldn’t cut it in F1 then leave. That was back when F1 was actually F1. This new series with its more socialist structure of […]

Brian commented on the post, Which drivers will say farewell to F1 after Brazil? 6 months ago
That would be a sad loss. He’s good enough to be in a better car. OK he didn’t cover himself in glory at McLaren earlier in his career but you can’t help thinking Force India or Sauber could do with having his […]

Brian commented on the post, Two DRS zones per track necessary for 2013 – Lowe 6 months ago
Exactly. They have devalued the overtake. To the point where it is now an inevitability. We will never see the likes of what you describe between MH & MS while there is DRS. Even if the opportunity existed for […]

Brian commented on the post, Two DRS zones per track necessary for 2013 – Lowe 6 months ago
Exactly. That is an actual solution to the problem. But they (the FIA & the teams) would argue that this approach would require a relatively large re-design of the cars at a time when the teams are craving rule […]

Brian commented on the post, Two DRS zones per track necessary for 2013 – Lowe 6 months ago
Am I alone in thinking that DRS is still a blight on F1? That it’s an easy way to artificially gloss over a fundamental design issue re- dirty air?
In my view tracks should have zero DRS zones and until they […]
