How about no testing at all and go straight to the first race? That would be a real test of team and driver to get up to grips with the new car, and save a lot of money at the same time.

In 2009 Alonso only had 1 podium but has had at least 10 year since going to Ferrari. Hamilton only had 7 in 2012, just one more than 2011. Statistics really don’t do justice to these two, do they.
