@bobby-balboa, I agree that the DRS spoilt several good battles but I gave it a one point above average “6″ purely because the tyres were largely irrelevant and I saw very little of the “delta” driving you mention […]

I honestly don’t know what you were watching if you thought that they had to drive to a delta time.
Example #1: Paul Di Resta
Started near the rear of the grid, and made only 1 pitstop, all […] -
Keith Collantine commented on the post, Monaco could be Mercedes’ best chance for victory 4 weeks, 1 day ago
@bobby-balboa @alfa145 We’ve seen the best and worst of Maldonado at Monaco.
He won three times at Monaco before reaching F1 (in 2006, 2007 and 2009). He had a strong run in a poor car on his F1 debut in 2011 […]

I voted 8/10 too. However..DRS may have made it look easy to pass…but as Martin Brundle said, the camera angle into turn one doesnt show what a mean task is to pass there.

Autosport live commentators were impressed by Lewis 27 laps stint on options on Friday.

I think Vettel mentioned in the post quali interviews that they were almost certain to start on the mediums, yes @bobby-balboa. But they do have the option available for them.

@bobby-balboa I agree, this rule hardly makes any sense with the sort of speed and degradation difference between Pirelli tyre compounds we’ve now.

@bobby-balboa
+1
They have thrown away a top 3′ish starting position so they could start on the Mediums. They basically have to follow through with that strategy and hope that it works. Even if they aren’t […] -

Thanks for clarifying that @bobby-balboa. I still wish to yourself and I had together the power to change the world (that would include controlling F1 starting times).

good points there @bobby-balboa
I don’t think the few hours difference make much difference. If you’re a hardcore F1 fan and you’ll get up at 5am to watch a qualifying session (like I did this morning) then […]

@bobby-balboa
You mean that would be nice, right? Right! Surely “we” cannot control the start times either.
IMO racing start times will only change to an appropriate day time as opposed to Europe viewers’ time […] -
Keith Collantine commented on the post, Hamilton’s arrival puts Mercedes in the spotlight but 2014 is their focus 3 months, 1 week ago
@bobby-balboa The camera colours are easy to spot so most of the time it won’t be a problem.
The onboard camera view from the roll bar camera will be tricky though. The way I’ve been telling them apart is […]

I wonder what the airport choices are that @bobby-balboa is looking at.
Hockenheim and the Nürburgring aren’t particularly far from one another.
Frankfurt’s pretty much the closest international airport to both of them. -
BasCB commented on the post, Which drivers will say farewell to F1 after Brazil? 6 months, 4 weeks ago
That team was Stefan GP. They bought the chassis, engine & gearbox from the Toyota team that pulled out the year before.
You are helping a myth survive here Bobby.
Stefan never bought anything […]

@bobby-balboa I guess that was a reply to @bag0
By the way, I think StefanGP had nothing to do with Villeneuve. Villeneuve was behind another proyect…

@bobby-balboa – He actally has something like the 7th-8th highest number of fans on this site. But still, the way DOTW votes go usually say more about the voters than the drivers, which might be the point @lite992 […]

David-A commented on the post, Alonso and Vettel not discounting Hamilton 8 months, 1 week ago
@bobby-balboa Ok, but Mclaren have been competitive since mid 2009 as well. The only thing that matters is that Vettel (and Hamilton) have been in cars that have been far back from the pace, and have had great results.

David-A commented on the post, Alonso and Vettel not discounting Hamilton 8 months, 1 week ago
Nobody here is saying that Vettel is better than Alonso and Hamilton (not even “kenyaf1″ really referred to any driver in particular, save for expecting to see the polesitter’s name in a […]
