Robbie commented on the post, Mercedes test hearing set for June 20th 1 week, 1 day ago
@caci99 I think the question I pose is the very crux of the issue and is entirely the point. Mercedes simply wouldn’t have done this test, simply would not have ignored the in-season testing ban (they’re not […]

@caci99 – when you write
They might not have gathered data from the tires, but they might have gathered data from the car, they might have put different components to the car to test them
,
That would mean […]

You’ve read far too much into it: I’m sure @caci99 ‘s point was that team orders were imposed against who now is looking like more than a match for Hamilton, although in a joking sense!

BasCB commented on the post, Penalty points system for drivers moves a step closer 1 month, 1 week ago
The system is supposed to be for the last 12 months, so each month the points collected a year ago would be dropped @caci99, @prisoner-monkeys

Prisoner Monkeys commented on the post, Penalty points system for drivers moves a step closer 1 month, 1 week ago
@caci99 – I imagine that, after a certain amount of time, the points would be removed from a driver’s licence. Kind of like road licences; if you’re caught speeding, you lose demerit points from your licence. But […]

@caci99 Whatever it is, something is brewing in the Red Bull team. As you point out, Vettel might be feeling he has lost his number one status. But on the other hand, Webber feels the exact opposite, saying that […]

BasCB commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Australian Grand Prix 3 months ago
Both were stuck behind Vettel @caci99, that was the reason Alons could catch up, and it was why it was a very good call to have him stop and get the undercut.
But Ferrari could safely have called Massa in the […]

@caci99 I’m not so sure.
When was the last time Vettel was under pressure while leading? With a car this strong, I’ll be even harder. Even if Alonso had closed the gap in the end, and be right behind Vettel, […]

This I agree with – Alonso has certainly been better off in terms of reliability than Vettel.

Jake commented on the post, Is Mercedes the right move for Hamilton? 8 months, 3 weeks ago
@caci99 irrelevant. I said they won’t be better off without him, not that they will go to pot. It’s pretty hard to argue a team can be better without arguably the fastest driver on the grid then they would be with him.

Fixy commented on the post, Ferrari arrive home with Alonso leading championship 9 months, 2 weeks ago
@caci99 I think Red Bull are actually in a worse position than last year’s Monza race, when they had the best overall package. Despite the reduced importance of aerodynamics they won the race. This year they have […]

@caci99 When an engine isn’t a stressed part of the car then it sits in the chassis and isn’t performing any structural role. Current F1 cars have a stressed engine. The rear suspension and gearbox are connected […]
