What is the split-screen multi like?
I didn’t enjoy it on F1 2013 due to two reasons:
1. In F1 2013 and it’s split-screen multi is flawed due to not being able to save custom player 2 controls – you must always enter your custom controls EVERY race by pausing and changing (this wasn’t a problem in F1 2012).
2. Also there was no multi-player series where you could pick a few races and championship against you buddy in a 1-2 hour gaming session (like you could in F1 2012).
Anyone able to tell me if they hHave they fixed these gripes in F1 2014? If not I’ll pass.5th October 2014, 22:54 at 10:54 pm #277284
I hope the Mclaren-Honda is an Earth Car!
I see no reason why it ever would be but I hope nevertheless! :D2nd October 2014, 0:10 at 12:10 am #276471

More excited by the Mercedes Mario Kart tie-up to be honest! :P
They competelt mucked up split-screen multi with F1 2013. They better fix that.
All I want to do is pick three or four races, and do a small championship with a friend in the same room like I could do with F1 2012. Not select a single race – change all the second player’s button commands to their liking – race then have to repeat… god that was frustrating not being able to save custom button controls for player 2.13th July 2014, 0:45 at 12:45 am #266461
It was good to see them wheel to wheel. Clean racing on the limits, as it usually is when Champions race each other.22nd June 2014, 0:16 at 12:16 am #263943
Great that WTCC is having a go on the big track at Nurburgring!
I doubt WEC will ever go to the Nordschleife but with two German P1 manufacturers and a third, German based P1 manufacturer (Toyota, TMG, Cologne) I wonder if they will ever push to have a WEC race on the F1 track at Nurburgring.9th June 2014, 15:17 at 3:17 pm #262884

Audi vs. Porsche vs. Toyota vs. Nissan
WEC just gets better and better.15th May 2014, 2:55 at 2:55 am #260458

I think WEC needs a really engaging and easy to access 1 hr highlight and feature show on the Monday evening on free-tv after the races.
Something on (for example) ITV2/3/4 which shows 30 mins of race footage, gets interviews with drivers and team personnel, and pieces which explain the rules and different tech used would be great.
Six hours and 24 hours is probably too long for casual viewers but a well produced highlights and features show on a popular channel at a reasonable evening time could prove to be a surprise hit with viewers.16th April 2014, 0:55 at 12:55 am #257097
I expected BMW to do well in 2009 after ‘sacrificing’ the title run-in 2008 to concentrate on the new rules.
A late crash was all that stopped Kubica getting a podium in Australia (Round 1) and Heidfeld actually got 2nd place in Malaysia (Round 2). It looked like their was some potential in the car.
Then it hardly scored a point for the rest of the season… It was over by Catalunya.6th April 2014, 18:46 at 6:46 pm #255733
‘RACING’ – it lived up to that billing today. ;)2nd April 2014, 0:30 at 12:30 am #255053
Obviously the Martini logo is the roughly the same shape as the London transport roundel but interestingly enough Williams Hybrid Engineering (F1 team subsidiary) did a deal with Transport for London in 2012 to stick flywheel energy recovery systems in some buses, utilising technology directly derived from the unraced 2009 Williams KERS system so there is history between the two!27th March 2014, 18:57 at 6:57 pm #254138
Here’s hoping they can take the fight to the German P1 teams and build on their five WEC victories to give us a great season!
