The pre-pirelli era races all scored lower than this one. That says a lot. Mind you, I agree with some commentators above, “marking up” seems to be a common phenomenon in the past year or two.

@magillagorilla Your theory about Lotus is good, and I sincerely hope that it is indeed the case. However, nothing is guaranteed, of course, we cannot say for sure until the race in Canada.

It is also a slight problem when most of the race leader’s laps were slower than the GP2 pole time (don’t quote me on that, I read it in a comment on one of the other articles).

@vettel1 The Lotus is good with this configuration of tyre – we have no idea if it will be good on the 2012/2013 hybrid tyre that we’ll get from Canada onwards.

The incidents this weekend were shockingly awful. I don’t normally watch the gp2 races so I have no idea if this stuff is par for the course or not, but drivers like cecotto have no business in any open wheel formula.
