@scuderiavincero @codesurge There is a bit of video in the round-up but no onboard.

Endurance Racing 1 month ago@codesurge @ajokay I was up at Silverstone on Friday and hung around the paddock between FP1 and FP2 and got quite a few pictures of drivers. I did meet Kamui but very briefly, I was hanging out mainly by Bruno’s […]

Endurance Racing 1 month, 2 weeks ago@codesurge There is a pitlane walkabout on the Sunday, but the paddock is open all weekend. I met Martin Brundle last year and had a brief encounter with Alex Wurz and Peter Dunbreck, so yeah, the opportunities […]

Going to the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas 2 months ago@codesurge, you are probably right. We were chatting with one of the staff at turn 4 and she told us that we could go pretty much anywhere since it was quiet on Friday, but maybe not all of the staff felt that way.

Going to the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas 2 months ago@codesurge, we could see part of the back straight, but there is a slight hill in the middle of the track there and you definitely could not see all the way to turn 12. We were in row 1. Maybe if you are up […]

@codesurge I can totally sympathise with that.
Also, those new Ferrari overalls make them look like they’re wearing black armbands as if they were mourning someone.

F1 5 months, 1 week ago@tommyb89 Right, I just meant that it was one of the designs @codesurge was asking about (“one-off designs for races that he doesn’t win”); he used it during a later race weekend, even though it was a design […]

F1 5 months, 1 week ago@codesurge @tommyb89 I don’t think he retires the one-off designs completely if he doesn’t win in them; I know I’ve seen him wear them during practice sessions, at least, on subsequent race weekends. For […]

F1 5 months, 1 week ago@codesurge I don’t know about that to be honest. I’m guessing so though as he wouldn’t race at say Spa with “Monaco” written on his helmet.
@celeste Obviously this is just one persons opinion but Jens told […]

@collosal-squid I do agree with @codesurge actually, it would be awkward to call it the Singapore GP, or indeed, the Singapore GP North. If they make the Iskandar name a strong enough brand, it could be just that, […]

@scuderiavincero I’m learning a lot today! :) Do you agree with @codesurge then that, due to the politics of the areas, a race at the Iskandar facility would be unlikely to be branded as a Singapore GP, and more […]

@codesurge Not much love lost between those two countries at all. This is still both an interesting and strange project in my opinion.

@codesurge Tracks can start at Grade 2 before moving up to Grade 1 later. Imola post-renovation is a recent example. It was actually at Grade 2 (or was it 1B? Not sure which) since 2008 and only got Grade 1 back this year.

@codesurge Maybe that’s a way to say that the damages affect aero, thus the damage side would be slower … And having damages on the left would mean a natural tendancy of the car to turn left. That’s the only […]
