Years you did forget were 1973, 1983 and 1986. Jackie Stewart and Lotus took the titles in ’73, whilst Nelson Piquet and Ferrari took the titles in ’83, and Alain Prost clinched his second title in ’86 whilst Williams took the Constructors’.

Conveniently, Keith has already added these to his (quite simply brilliant) F1Fanatic calendar. Jerez is from the first until the fourth of February, whilst Catalunya is from the 19th-22nd and from the 26th of Feb until the first of March.

I aim to go to this. That and WEC are on my to-do list this year. :)

I expect Vandoorne to absolutely walk the championship this year. However I feel that the two DAMS drivers will be second and third, in which order however I am unsure.

I like the way McLaren used to their thing with the names.

It was a pretty good race I agree @KeithCollantine from the end of the safety car onwards it was absolutely insane. Had a Monaco 1982 feel to it there. I did think that the entire safety car thing was pretty ridiculous, as well as the length of time it took to hand out penalties. I always thought ignoring a red light at the end of a pit lane was an instant black flag too.

The result will surely be a massive result to da Costa and the whole Amlin team. There have been a few penalties since the event.

Salvador Duran has been excluded from the results (power usage).
Nelson Piquet has been awarded a five-place grid penalty for Miami (speeding under yellows).
Jarno Trulli has been awarded a 10-place grid penalty for Miami (gearbox change).

Quite possibly, but we have had quite a few of those already in Formula E @PhilEReid

Was genuinely surprised by Heidfeld’s pace in qualifying. The Venturis looked nowhere in practice. This track looks to be very, very tricky, especially that Turn 4 which caught out the Trullis. With qualifying so close, it’s set up to be a pretty exciting race.

He was overtaken by a decent chunk of the field in Australia.

He was also overtaken by a number of cars at the start in Italy.

You cannot put the reason why Alonso lost the ’10 title down to Abu Dhabi. His errors earlier on in the season (Australia, China, Britain and Belgium) cost him considerably more points than one tactical error.

I thought that it was hilarious how Jenson Button went on Top Gear back in 2006, only for Clarkson to mock how he had never won a Grand Prix. One week later that race at Hungary happened.

When Ricciardo was announced as Vettel’s team mate, I said that the Australian would give him a run for his money. I didn’t quite expect the humbling which followed!

Didn’t Fernando Alonso claim that he would never return to McLaren after 2007? That worked out well.

“This year’s [2013] car is the best we’ve ever made”

Ideally, all of them. Sky’s build up is pretty abysmal. The commentary is the only decent point but even then both Croft and Brundle seem to lose the plot on occasions.

I would guess that Malaysia, Bahrain, Spain, Canada, Britain, Hungary, Belgium, Singapore, Mexico and Abu Dhabi will be on the Beeb.

He quite literally has jumped straight from hero to zero since Beijing.
