Dan Brown commented on the post, F1 prize money change planned 2 weeks, 5 days ago
It’s a pretty fair comparison, if slightly misguided. TV money is split between the teams, not only in the Premier League, but right down to League 2.
It’s like saying if Manchester United play QPR, and […]

I’m surprised there’s a complete example of a HRT left after Karthikeyan’s exploits

Dan Brown commented on the post, Button and Perez “clear the air” over clash 3 weeks, 3 days ago
Although of course they don’t, technically there’s probably plenty they could do in terms of restricting teams from actually going to Bahrain, after all, most of the teams are based in the UK. I’m sure the […]

I imagine using company money to further the career of your son, when there is a spurious at best financial case to do so, is pretty controversial.

And in the case of F1, it completely disregards the fact that hard work is no match for hard cash. In the same vein, having talent is also no match for having wads of cash. There are 22 drivers at the pinnacle of […]

Dan Brown commented on the post, Boullier: Raikkonen doing less of what he hates 2 months ago
Although I see your point, I struggle to see what possible benefit they will get from it. It’s a real struggle to like the team whilst they have the lotus name, and not either the history or the sponsorship money […]

Dan Brown commented on the post, Caterham face struggle to become points contenders 2 months, 1 week ago
I was really rooting for Caterham last year, but I’m struggling to like them this year. Not sure if it’s to do with Heikki leaving, or the general feeling they’re going backwards. Now that Marussia have KERS and […]

Of course, but here in the UK, both Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher got close to similar terms in office.
Chavez lowered poverty and nationalised industry, developing Venezuela as a result. Western […]

Dan Brown commented on the post, Horner: Less pressure on Red Bull after titles triple 2 months, 4 weeks ago
When it comes down to it, streaming unofficially is breaking the law. Of course, until a better legal alternative is found it’s going to happen. But for an example of how it can work, just look at how Spotify has […]

Dan Brown commented on the post, The pay driver debate needs to move on 3 months ago
There’s lots of different elements at play, although I’d say nationalism is certainly a major one. Afterall, a Mexican telecomm company for example, is far more likely to back a poor driver from mexico than they […]

I honestly don’t see a problem with drivers being able to field cars from previous years and having to pre-qualify them if they want to race so badly.
