    @xtwl

    Am I the only one that realizes what a difficult task this is, to catch every overtake or interesting bit live?

    No you are not. But replays of the incidents missed should be shown during the coverage.

    Hamilton got a lot of coverage partially because there was a battle for the lead between him, Rosberg, Bottas and Massa. We had the surprise of Williams leading, so it’s natural the cameras would focus on the quartet. The lead battle was the main point of interest for much of the race, including when Rosberg caught back up to Hamilton before the 2nd stops.

    The coverage though, could have been better, as there should have been more & better angles of the start crash, not to mention the cameras missing Raikonen’s spin altogether. It’s not even the first time we’ve not had proper footage- the camera angle of the start crash in Austria was poor, and we didn’t get footage from Alonso’s car. In Monaco, we never even saw the point where Sainz almost wiped out a Sauber at the chicane.

    @scottie -Ralf Schumacher was actually quite good in 1999, but saddled with a teammate that failed to score points for Williams, like Rosberg with Nakajima in 2009. Also Alonso & Spygate cost Mclaren even the constructors.

    @bradley13 Isn’t this similar to that “neknomination” thing from a few monhs ago?

    Re: Sauber

    The difference for this team is in drivers, or one driver: Hulkenberg. Sutil is just a downgrade. Gutierrez had zero points at this stage last year too.

    I’d say the F2007 was the marginally faster car, but was clearly less reliable and also worse in the wet. Therefore the MP4-22 was the better car.

    I think the Chase is less comparable to “tournaments” like the World Cup or UEFA Champions League, and more comparable to the playoffs in US Sports. The first 26 races of a Sprint Cup season act as a means of qualifying for the Chase.

    It’s a first pole position of the season for Scott Dixon.
