Apart from the qualy, where Fernando made a mistake and was almost beaten by Massa. But the race performance was certainly good.

He did have the fastest car by a mile in the race, yet still he drove brilliantly and deserves driver of the weekend.
Not quite sure if “masterclass” is the right word… But he certainly deserves it this time. -

Sorry, I didn’t specifically meant “you” said it. But it was a bit of a point here on that topic. I, too think Lotus lucked out.
I don’t really like changing rules or things like tyres during the season. But I’m […] -

I’m sorry, but I don’t know which F1 you are watching. It’s not the same as me. I can’t find any other person in the paddock moaning louder about the tyres than Niki Lauda. Then there’s Rosberg […]

I think it’s terrible, that we can’t have this discussion without talking about how this will benefit Red Bull.
The main question is… Is Formula 1 better with these tyres? Do we want tyres that fall apart so […]

Indeed it was the same for everyone. But when you say that it indeed was very late in the development of the car, you can’t really claim that Lotus and Ferrari specifically build a car around the new tyres and […]

I don’t agree with them being desperate, really. If they would be in any way fighting for the championchip at the moment, yes. But seeing how they need to catch up as quickly as possible it makes a whole lot of […]

Definitely old news. Fernando Alonso has never in his entire career had the best car. And never had a perfectly working car. Someone always had better material… It’s the story of his life.

Schumacher did 4 official races in DTM. But they count as two heats per venue. Norisring (2) and Diepholz (2) in 1991.
Hockenheim 1990 as guest starter (famously crashing out Cecotto and […] -
dennis commented on the post, Porsche chose Le Mans over F1 for “road relevance” 3 weeks, 4 days ago
Because the average Porsche buyer is interested in fuel economy and that it can beat a Toyota?

If manufacturers were always allowed to do what they wanted there would be no F1 today anymore, because no one could afford it. Something similar happened to the DTM in the 90′s.

The notion that modern LMP cars have any more relevance to road cars than F1 cars, apart from having fenders is quite hilarious, indeed.

Oh please, Alonso with 2 stops more to fix the DRS, which then stopped working and in traffic scored a solid points finish. Kimi after starting from 9 and Grosjean from 11 both on the podium. Kimi even on a […]

Exactly. Alonso/Ferrari ruined their race themselves. And Lotus had a terrible qualy. The difference wasn’t as big as it seemed. Vettel simply had the better weekend.

I was looking for your comments from the last races… For some reason I couldn’t find them.

“Kimi has the best car by far. He is the luckiest driver ever…”
China:
