I don’t understand! Hamilton had to take a 5 place penalty for gearbox change on the 3rd race, when he took pole.

I read that Hamilton may drive at this test. They want to understand the tyre degradation, and setup better during race conditions. Hamilton said he needed to do that himself.

Alonso is probably the best F1 driver out there right now. Hamilton is the fastest and Vettel is in the best car. The others are quite good too!
