Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Australian Grand Prix qualifying: What went wrong? 2 months, 1 week ago
I agree, the format for qualifying is unnecessarily complicated, and what’s more, it doesn’t set the grid up correctly for the start of a race. The grid should be set up for the fastest accelerating cars to be at […]

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, The pay driver debate needs to move on 3 months ago
I agree with David’s comment, that just because one driver has to pay for a seat in a team while another draws a salary doesn’t mean the first driver is lesser of a driver than the second. There are corporates who […]

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Ecclestone: F1 must remember it’s in “show business” 5 months, 2 weeks ago
Sure they get lots of money … for now … but at what cost? At the cost of not entertaining people, and at the cost of treading the path to obscurity!
In New Zealand, where I live, we USED to have Formula 1 on […] -

I think Brawn would have found it very difficult telling Schumacher that he wasn’t wanted, especially as they had been together when Schumacher was at his peak.

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Vote for your Belgian GP Driver of the Weekend 8 months, 3 weeks ago
I must confess I didn’t see the race, so I concede it is arguable my comments don’t count, but I threw my hat in the ring for Massa. Normally I vote for the person who wins because they and their team have put in […]

I disagree. If we take your example of murder, say the law says you can kill a person in self defence, and say this person was going to kill you with an axe, and you shot them, then you have grounds to claim it […]

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Which of Paul Ricard’s 167 tracks should F1 use? 1 year, 1 month ago
There is another option which this issue of multiple track configurations brings up, which is to hold multiple races at the same track, each race being done with a different configuration.
For example, say you […] -
Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Was Sauber’s radio message to Perez a team order to help Ferrari? 1 year, 1 month ago
I was amazed when I saw an “unknown name” suddenly second on the F1 Live Timing (no free F1 coverage in NZ), and wondered what team this guy was from: Sauber. Surely if you have to look on the internet to find out […]

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Massa to get new chassis for Malaysian Grand Prix 1 year, 2 months ago
No, I don’t hate Ferrari, they were the team that got me interested in F1. Alonso is an exceptionally good driver, and he is very clever with setting up cars as well.
Massa is also an extremely good driver. It […] -
Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Massa to get new chassis for Malaysian Grand Prix 1 year, 2 months ago
My guess is the Massa is contracted to have worser lap times than Alonso, so I can’t see why Ferrari is pretending Massa isn’t doing his job.

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, Massa to get new chassis for Malaysian Grand Prix 1 year, 2 months ago
The sad part about all this is traditionally Ferrari have had one driver who has to play second fiddle to the other. With Schumacher it was Barrichello, and with Alonso playing lead Massa gets the second fiddle […]

Stephen Crowsen commented on the post, The 2012 rules changes at a glance 1 year, 2 months ago
As I see it, the idea of the safety car is to get all the cars in one area on the track so it can be safely cleared of debris by the track cleaners (or whatever they are called). If you have some cars racing […]
