Aye, that was a real shame. He was having a great first race until that happened.

11th March 2014, 0:07 at 12:07 am #251504electroliteParticipantFirst and foremost, congratulations to @jamiefranklinf1 for another title and superb season. Commiserations to the relentless @commonmonsoon who in my eyes deserved it this year, but that’s not to take anything away from Jamie.
As for Sunday, I hadn’t practised until a couple of hours before the race, so I was always going to be off the pace!
Qualifying = 7th
The midfield was ridiculously tight and about 5 cars were separated by a tenth!
Race = 5th
I managed to get a clean start and dodged a lot of trouble through the Senna S. By the straight, I’d found myself in 2nd. My pace wasn’t quite up to Jamie’s, but at least for this (wet) part of the race I was happy! @ed24f1 soon overtook me after a minor mistake, and the 2 Red Bulls which I knew would be running faster made their way past later. Bad luck to Ed who disconnected! @bradley13 slowed down a lot on the last lap and I was right on his rear wing at the finish line!
Although I’ve got nothing to show for it, I feel I’ve improved again in Season 4. This has been by far my busiest season in terms of real life stuff! I’ve fought for the lead in a few races which is more than can be said in the past. Yeah, I threw away a pole-and-win Singapore again, but it was down to a blind strategy rather than driving into a wall. Spa was my best race, biggest regret by far is missing Monza, and it was definitely one of them seasons where if I could go back in time and change some tiny split second decisions it would have made for much better results! Great fun though guys, as always, even if it was only for 6 races.
Special thanks goes to my team-mate @magnificent-geoffrey, for doing a magnificent job of doing the OP and organising the series, and it’s a shame we didn’t do much racing on track.
7th March 2014, 17:31 at 5:31 pm #251087electroliteParticipantActually, screw what I said. I’d rather just be in front of you all.
7th March 2014, 17:12 at 5:12 pm #251084electroliteParticipantI think I’m just about over missing Monza for no good reason at all… and excited to see Season 4 out with a good result. Looking to get in amongst the championship contenders and stir things up a little.
23rd February 2014, 11:36 at 11:36 am #249600electroliteParticipantOh man I’ve just got the messages! I honestly didn’t think we were racing today, how depressing. I’m managing to screw this cup up more than I imagined. ..
17th February 2014, 15:32 at 3:32 pm #248941electroliteParticipantI really really wish I’d qualified on primes! That way, during my second and third stints I could’ve held the lead, or at least put up a fight!
@bradley13 I didn’t put up too much of a defence because your tyres were so much fresher! Looking back I should’ve, but there was a lot of oppurtunity for us to have an accident and also let the guys behind us catch up.It’s a real shame about the disconnects – it’s always been a part of the Collantine Cup, but in the last two seasons it’s tended to affect the same people over and over again.
16th February 2014, 12:31 at 12:31 pm #248793electroliteParticipant@JamieFranklinF1 Can I have your ps4 then?
Today I inherited pole from Damon. But starting on options put me on the backfoot strategy wise – saving a couple of spins later on in the race resulting in pretty horribly cutting some corners, which led to a couple of penalties. So 4th rather than 2nd hurts! Apart from those mistakes I drove pretty smoothly, and I was catching Brad in the rain during the last stint until my tyres were just shredded (I think everyone was struggling!).
Every time I’ve started from pole, it’s been at Singapore. And both times, I’ve finished 4th…
16th February 2014, 10:50 at 10:50 am #248772electroliteParticipantSingapore is the best. The funny thing is @JamieFranklinf1, I love it, you hate it – but you’ll probably finish ahead of me again…
15th February 2014, 18:39 at 6:39 pm #248717electroliteParticipant@commonmonsoon we’ll see who can drive tomorrow when I beat you to pole position.
6th February 2014, 16:20 at 4:20 pm #244413electroliteParticipantCurrent standings with worst results dropped tightens things up a little… @JamieFranklinF1 ‘s combination of consistent speed and a seemingly unpertabable internet connection still makes him the one to beat!

3rd February 2014, 9:58 at 9:58 am #244411electroliteParticipantI rejoined just behind Electrolite, who was either struggling with tyres or very kindly offered little resistance.
@supernicebob It was a mixture of both of the above, in addition to being a bit crap.
Exactly how different will the story be in Singapore, Electrolite?
@commonmonsoon I have a few wrongs I need to put right in Singapore…
2nd February 2014, 17:08 at 5:08 pm #244406electroliteParticipantI do have a video which I’ll hopefully upload in the week, but it’s really only good at showing 2 or 3 moments! Generally I was extremely sluggish today and suffering from understeer all the way through. I didn’t practice enough to nail a good setup, and I should be very pleased with 6th. Singapore, on the other hand, should be a different story.
Most entertaining moment – coming into Casino Square to find @aus_steve facing literally 180 degrees backwards, and, with no time to react, hit him square on.

30th January 2014, 12:22 at 12:22 pm #244390electroliteParticipantMonaco baby, yeah.
21st January 2014, 12:12 at 12:12 pm #246322electroliteParticipant@andae23 Haven’t the race suits always been white, however? If there’s any team that’s going to stick with their colour scheme, other than Ferrari, I think it’ll be Caterham.
