Manny_O! posted an update in the group
Going to the Monaco Grand Prix at Monte-Carlo 3 months, 3 weeks ago Ed!! Thank you so much for all the information!!! My friends and I have decided to buy section K tickets and to instead sit down for dinner at one of those restaurants you listed. I sincerely appreciate all your help. Thanks for the commute tips and for your suggestions for a nice lounge/club for later on during the night. I’ll post here for others to be blessed as well….
There are lots of good restaurants in Monaco – see attached. We usually update this a month or so before the race to factor in those which have changed, declined, improved etc. but it should be a good starting point for you. I’d suggest you book well in advance if you opt for one of the Michelin starred restaurants or the more popular ones.
In terms of clubs:
- La Rascasse is good on Friday night but I don’t like it on Sunday (it has an oddly aggressive feel to it on Sunday after the race but really fun on every Friday I’ve been).
- Sass Cafe is fun.
- Jimmy’z is famous but really expensive.
- Amber Lounge hosts several of the drivers after the race, individual tickets to include all of your drinks run at around 850€ pp for the Sunday night (more expensive on the day so if you’re doing that book in advance).I can help with the one you have to pay for to get in such as Jimmy’z & Amber Lounge but the others you can get direct, I don’t think you need a ticket for Rascasse and Sass but best to check with them beforehand in case they change format this year.
Last train leaves Monaco around midnight, I think it was 23.55 last year.
