That is pretty much true. It would be a time trial, not much unlike rallying. In racing its about the other guys on track as much as about going fast.

I think the chances of that are incredibly high, in fact, I can see no other manufacturer even considering entry at so late a stage and with the current limits on testing.

Maybe we could just say that’s it’s really sad and unfortunate and leave it at that.
