Ferrari is fast
@gill We don’t know what is the pace of the Lotus when the drivers don’t drive to conserve their tyres. In this race, they choosed a 2 pit strategy. If they would have choosed 3 pit strat., […]

Kingshark commented on the post, Which team has the best driver line-up for 2013? 2 months, 2 weeks ago
@gill
How do these two line-ups stand out any more than the Ferrari one?IMO Alonso > Vettel and Massa > Webber, so overall I’d say the Ferrari lineup is a bit better than the Red Bull lineup, but not by too much.

Massa improved dramatically over the last 3 races. I think as a driver who is willing to do a lot to ensure his teams success, sometimes at the expense of his, he is the right man for Ferrari.

@gill I find it very interesting that you can turn a piece about McLaren’s front wing into the claim that Ferrari had the slowest car. Fascinating

@gill, it’s true he might have extended his first stint with a few laps, but I think Ferrari’s strategy was pretty good. No-one could have predicted that Alonso would struggle so badly on the soft tyres, […]

@gill I wouldn’t set too much store by labelling. They’ve certainly been ‘midfield’ for the last few years but are clearly on an upswing. Still haven’t won a race yet, though.

everyyear Mclaren loses its plot when the year reaches its end
I’d say the reverse is true – McLaren have tended to start the year less competitively and improve. That was certainly the case in the 2009 […]

@gill – Alonso probably deserves DOTW, but you’re seriously underrating the idea of pushing a car to its limit. Only the best extract the max from a car, and that’s technically the “only thing” Alonso did in the race as well.

@gill “Vettel was by far the quickest driver this weekend.”
Vettel had by far the quickest car this weekend, but Alonso with the car he had was the fastest driver.
It´s not the winning that makes a driver […] -

@gill hatred? Seriously? I regard Alonso as the quickest, the most mature and most complete driver on the grid, but you have to say that even though Alonso’s win was great and exciting (don’t get me wrong on this […]
