Minardi commented on the post, F1 prize money change planned 3 weeks, 1 day ago
Could not agree more with the COTD.
The long history and international intrigue that comes inherent to Formula One automatically gives it a huge advantage when it comes to the overall drama on raceday. […]

Minardi commented on the post, Sato joins F1′s list of IndyCar winners 3 weeks, 2 days ago
The IndyCar street circuits are way too narrow and tight to allow any kind of proper racing – imagine Monaco being repeated 6 times during the season.
Road courses are a little better, but even then, they’re […]

Minardi commented on the post, Sato joins F1′s list of IndyCar winners 3 weeks, 2 days ago
Actually, I believe Sato is the first driver from the entire Asian continent to win either and F1 or Indy/IRL/Champ Car race.

Minardi commented on the post, Pirelli: Most teams support aggressive tyres 1 month ago
I hope China was as bad as its going to get. The double DRS didnt help because drivers were just powerless to fight regardless of what strategy they were on.
So what if the tyres were only good for 7 laps? […]

Minardi commented on the post, Alonso’s 31st victory puts him level with Mansell 1 month ago
Kimi and Fernando have been on the podium together 32 times now – I assume more than any other combo on the grid today but I guess I don’t know.
Also, the two fastest qualifiers were not from Ferrari, McLaren, […]

Minardi commented on the post, Take the F1 Fanatic Giancarlo Fisichella Quiz 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I can still remember Fisi briefly “thinking” he had won after getting out of the car and throwing up his helmet in the air. He was denied the podium celebration but at least we had that!

Minardi commented on the post, Were Red Bull & Mercedes right to use team orders? 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Adam hits on the different reasons for team orders. From a team manager’s point of view, it can be looked at like this:
A. You are worried about a collision and don’t care about the positions – so you order […]

Minardi commented on the post, Hamilton: ‘Red Bull have a number one, we don’t’ 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Really the best way is to just let them race. Isn’t that what they did at Brazil 2010 when Webber was not waved pass Vettel for the lead? And they congratulated themselves after Abu Dhabi for letting the […]

Minardi commented on the post, Hamilton: ‘Red Bull have a number one, we don’t’ 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Yes Vettel has 40 points now instead of 33, but what are the chances now of a collision between the two of them later this year? I’d say they went up a tad. And the “get him out of the way” comment on the radio […]

Minardi commented on the post, Raikkonen matches Hakkinen’s race win tally 2 months ago
17 of the 22 active drivers have now made their debut in Melbourne, with just 4 scoring points: Hamilton 3rd, Webber 5th, Raikkonen 6th, and di Resta 10th.

Minardi commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Australian Grand Prix 2 months ago
8 for me. Anytime the front row can’t stay there by the finish usually means I enjoyed the race.
The prospect of having Red Bull/Merc dominate qualifying, but with Ferrari/Lotus ready to pounce on race day is […]

Minardi commented on the post, Caterham face struggle to become points contenders 2 months, 1 week ago
I’d be surprised too if they score a point, but they still need to be there. We’re sooooo spoiled these days having so many teams that are within 1 to 2 seconds of pole every race and usually always finish. […]

Minardi commented on the post, Renault “frustrated by lack of recognition” for success 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Hulkenberg blew him away as teammate in 2009 but his sponsorship kept allowing him more tries. Eventually he got it all right in the same way that Georgio Pantano did.

Minardi commented on the post, Bianchi takes Razia’s place at Marussia for 2013 2 months, 2 weeks ago
In the long run, this is better for Chilton too. He will have the legs-up off the bat due to more time in the car and will be rated higher than if he beat Razia. Better line-up than Caterham now actually.

Minardi commented on the post, Some pay drivers “not good enough for F1″ 3 months, 1 week ago
I don’t know that the GP2 drivers coming into F1 are really that bad just because they spent a few years in the series. Now if Simon Trummer or Rodolfo Gonzales got an F1 ride, I’d be worried.
But I […]

Minardi commented on the post, Which drivers will say farewell to F1 after Brazil? 6 months ago
Agreed – wouldn’t you think that Alonso in this year’s Williams could very well still be fighting for the championship or even already sewn it up? I really do think the car’s been that good. Maldonado […]

Minardi commented on the post, Take the F1 Fanatic United States Grand Prix quiz 6 months, 1 week ago
Finally a quiz for me – I attended every Detroit GP, some in Watkins Glen, and most in Indy. I’m happy with 15, but midgrid hasn’t taken it yet!

Minardi commented on the post, Alonso can get payback for 2010 in Abu Dhabi 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Christmas has come early!!! Alonso 3rd and Vettel 7th is my prediction, which would cut the lead to 2 points.
Then we just need some rain in Texas or Brazil. - Load More
