My two cents on this, I don’t think Rossi “kicked” Marquez. If one notices, Marquez rested his head on Rossi’s thigh. Since it was a right hand corner, riders hang on to the bike on the left leg, now if rossi doesnt do anything he himself risks crashing. From what I noticed, Rossi lifted Marquez’s head off his thigh. But, like Rossi said, a kick won’t throw a MotoGP bike down. Secondly, Marquez claimed Rossi touched his brake lever. Brake lever guards are mandatory for exactly the same thing, to avoid dangerous results in case of accidental contacts, which means Rossi’s knee couldn’t have touched his brake lever. In fact it doesn’t look like Rossi’s leg touched the handlebar at all (But I could be wrong).
And while I partially support RD’s decision for penalty points, (partially since 3 points were too many for making someone run wide, 30 second added to his finish time would’ve sufficed) it still doesn’t answer why Lorenzo passing Rossi under yellow flags was completely ignored.
In fact, a lot of riders and those involved in the sport claimed that RD should have called in Rossi and Marquez in for questioning after Rossi’s statement on the thursday before the race. Just to warn them that they are watching.15th August 2012, 12:09 at 12:09 pm #206997
Strong words from casey stoner. Especially since 2007 was the only strong year for Ducati. The team hasn’t been one of the strongest to challenge for the title. Besides, when Rossi joined yamaha the M1 was not exactly a title fetching bike and critics had pointed out that yamaha’s bold move to employ rossi would backfire on them. But then rossi did win the opening race and i think went on to win the title that year. Looking forward to a lot of criticism aimed at stoner.23rd October 2011, 15:40 at 3:40 pm #183567

yeah but i think it was due to safety. cause they enabled it in silverstone and then broke his wing right? probably thats the thing they dont want. cause in the wet they brake early and not at the absolute last minute so the guy drafting might bump in cause he is much faster?13th July 2011, 10:44 at 10:44 am #173483

utter bullS#!t. This site is well maintained. and i think keith does a fantastic job. it takes me maybe 2-3 mins from the time the race gets over to i log in n check out Keith’s posts and there are already like 100s of comments on it. Managing that, well from an IT engg’s point of view, which i am, is like a colossal pain in the rear side.
Besides he is the moderator he isn’t expected to answer everyone’s questions. Still i think he does that to most of the posts.
There are too many views everyone have about one particular comment someone has made and that’s where the confusion starts. you can’t really blame Keith for that.
Frankly he does a lot of hard work on this website to deliver really good content. Also consider the fact that this website isn’t a paid membership and open to all. The amount of effort he puts for a free website, I think he gets the right to say one or 2 biased comments if he ever has, or say something people didn’t expect him to say.12th July 2011, 18:31 at 6:31 pm #173684
@harvs: Vettel did a 1:44.0, as compared to rubens who did 1:44.3.
I’ve always noticed Clarkson does a lot of favoritism towards the car he likes. and he likes the Italia so he said the MP4-12C was a bit boring. and infact the whole thing about Traction control being so complicated do disable, i believe that was safety feature so no one accidentally switches it off. Cause let’s face it, it’ll probably be only JC who will turn off Traction control to drive the car. Any one else would hardly do that. And I think it’s a good thing that it’s a bit complicated to disable it. Also i think it looks better than the Italia.12th July 2011, 18:16 at 6:16 pm #174051
Keith, why do you have your own name under you name? As in we have like “Member” under our names. You should have something like “GOD” or “BOSS-MAN” or “SUPER-VILLAIN” or something like that under yours. :D12th July 2011, 18:08 at 6:08 pm #173967
Have they fixed the rain graphics yet? F1 2010 in cockpit camera mode, the rain on the visor was simply a big blotch of fat pixels rather than proper rain. Didn’t notice that in DiRT2 or DiRT3. and all 3 games run on the same engine. I especially liked the rain effect in NFS Hot pursuit 2010. if they could do something like that.
And did they balance the difficulty level throughout all the tracks? A lot of them complained that the difficulty level of the AI changes in certain tracks and they become super brilliant.27th June 2011, 16:36 at 4:36 pm #172758
Webber leaves, alonso replaces him, gives competition to vettel for title, around the end gets frustrated cause he isnt treated as the number 1 driver. he angrily pulls off newey’s last 2 hairs and newey loses his superpower of aerodynamics. and they both lose.13th June 2011, 6:23 at 6:23 am #171121
anyway i think the relationship betn the 2 is deteriorating. Slater was saying button said their are okay professionally and he didnt seem very keen on the idea that the 2 were good frnds outside.13th June 2011, 5:11 at 5:11 am #171078
@david: but then the best drivers are those who dont crack when under pressure right? Sad for vettel though.
Best Driver: Michael Schumacher
Worst Driver: Nick Heidfeld, I mean d-uh! use your brakes!
Best Team: Red Bull
Worst Team: HRT, read the rules before gettin jerome in.
Best Overtake: Schumacher passes massa n kobayashi
Best Funny-moment: Falling marshal
Most Surprising Result: Michael, he was supsd to be behind nico.
Least Surprising Result: lewis crashing out?
Special Mention to: Michael, give him a faster car, he can still drive.
Race Rating: 10/10, wouldve given 11, if a meteor had crashed on the track. sadly, didnt happen.
