Damn, @aka_robyn, you are right! I blew it on that one.
And let’s be honest. Any time you have to say “no offence”, you know perfectly well you are insulting someone. Which ironically is insulting to everyone’s […]

I’m an American and love F1 and just about any form of road racing. I am not a fan of NASCAR. But the comments here are surprisingly venomous. If something doesn’t interest you, don’t you just ignore it? The […]

So I suppose you would be fairly easy going about BBC F1 commentators being criticized by an American as “overly English”.

I know this is a UK-based site and many don’t know of SPEED’s race coverage. It’s not perfect, but it’s what we, the US, have to see motor sports around the world. SPEED/FOX is about to go “all sports” and this is […]

I totally agree that this is the likely situation next year, thought I really hope they do a live race + replay instead of delay only. My big fear is the IndyCar crew taking over. They are serviceable for IndyCar, […]

hays33d commented on the post, Alonso on pole again in rain-hit German GP qualifying 10 months ago
Did anyone see/hear what Grosjean was up to walking down the pit lane with what appeared to be a determined purpose after he got knocked out? US commentators mentioned it, whent to an ad break, and then never said […]

I respectively disagree with that assessment. That incident was caused by Hamilton being slow off the line, Alonso bolting left to get around him, pushing Grosjean left as well into Schumacher who moved up along […]

I think the reason for testing has been covered. Mainly because there is not a sole fuel supplier.
The reason they get their own fuel is because the teams want it that way due to sponsorship.
The largest […]

But he would have done it after crossing the finish line and not on a hot lap. Then there would be 350 comments on this forum about how Hamilton cheated (or not).

I figured as much, but the FIA would serve themselves much better by stating that in their releases. 80% of the outrage everyone is having is over the severity of the penalty and the perception that it was decided […]

I tried to find the answer to this, but haven’t been able to. Since both of these violations (1. not making it to pit lane and, 2. needing 1 liter for testing) are under 6.6.2, right now I’d have to assume they […]

+1!
@smileyriley, exactly what I’m thinking. I still haven’t found any FIA document that outlines that this violation equals this penalty.
It would be very disappointing to find out that a black and white […]

I’m always surprised by the closed mindedness and resistance when it comes to safety innovations, or at the very least, the exploration of them.
Yes, it has been a long time since an F1 driver was killed, but […]

After the race, I already felt bad for the McLaren mechanic having to deal with the fallout of the two bad pit stops, but after Whitmarsh’s comments, it’s really a shame that he’s blaming himself. Obviously **** […]

I’ve seen a few comments about how this race was harder to follow due to varying pit stop strategies and the multiple trains. I too found myself wondering what happened to certain drivers because […]
