I decided a week or two ago to go. I will be in GS46. I last went to the GP in Mtl from 2000 to 2003, a Schumacher won every year so that kind of soured me as did MS being so dominant at the time. But after 16 years I am heading back!

As for tickets this year I called them, like I did way back then. I was able to discuss options and ask for specific seat or row and was able to get Seat 1 on an aisle so I can go up and down with ease, and without disturbing anyone else, for toke breaks!

The weather forecast looks beautiful, Sun all 3 days with a high of 27C on race day, Friday and Saturday are 23 and 25. Last week when I checked the extended forecast, there was a possibility of rain on race day! Not sure which weather I would prefer to be honest. Rain always livens up the GP on Ile Notre-Dame. But where I live we haven’t had a 20C day yet! So, I will welcome the heat and sun!

I went to Montreal every year from 2000 to 2003. I sat in Gold evey year with the last 2 years being right at the start/finish line. I always bought my tickets thru the circuit’s page. There are always scalpers before you cross the bridge connecting Ile St Helene and the circuit as well. This new deal sounds kind of neat and I might malke the trip next year again after being away for so long! Vic

Similarly I also have a massive collection of F1 videos. I taped everything that was on TSN here in Canada from 1998 to about 2003 or so. Including qualifying. Like Nigel I just don’t have time to digitize the VHS NTSC tapes. I am not looking tp seel them but if anyone is interested in them, we can perhaps split the mailing costs with the caveat that if you decide to digitize them, I get a copy. I also have about 1.5 TB of F1 videos, including every race from 1978 onward and some earlier than 78 races. I have a list but its in a sorry state. If anyone is interested in perhaps the VHS or trading some stuff on DVD, let me know. Vic
