Have a great time at the Silverstone race

BasCB commented on the post, Will Mercedes escape sanction at FIA Tribunal? 6 hours, 12 minutes ago
The test was conducted by Pirelli though, but they used Mercedes cars and had Mercedes bring the drives and most likely at least part of the engineers @jonsan. I am not saying that makes it a clear Pirelli test, […]

not sure what you are talking about there q85.
If you mean the gimmick on the exhaust exit during pre-season testing, that was not something Williams ever intended to use. Its purpose was more to both attrackt […]

Personally I feel the most important thing that can come from this is that the FIA Tribunal will (or will not) be established as credible by a transparent procedure leading to a well argued decision and a fair […]

I have seen that during last week on F1 Technical – a discussion forum – where the guys more or less came to the conclusion its interesting to see, but not them doing anything illegal.
Craig Scarborough […]

It defenitely explains why there was no need for things like DRS or tyres manufactured to last only a 3rd of the race – the cars themselves (and the tyres) offered enough trouble/challenges for the drivers as it was!

It also perfectly shows how the current KERS rules (and potentially the new ones too) are not all that great an idea of how to use a hybrid power train, instead of making it a boost (push to pass button) they […]

Funny that “Lotus-Praga” combination. An demised but recently resurrected (although not building cars) Czech luxury car brand and an almost defunct but still in operation sports car company from the UK on one LMP2 […]

I would say there’s so much to do, and only a limited amount of hours in the day to do them, so having others take on certain tasks is a sign of the site growing, who knows, maybe in time F1Fanatic will be able to […]

I am pretty sure none have a positive balance (if you count out state subventions) and the best of them run at about break-even level.

So you would change artificially making stops from the tyres going off for having a stop to refuel? I really fail to see the added value of that @nemo87.
Drivers will still be told to hold position, to slow or to […] -

Lotus mentioned that they went from the data supplied by Pirelli before september 1st last year @hohum, I do not think its just luck, but rather making the right choices (you could say that is luck, but then being […]

What you say there does not make any sense at all @vettel1. The car is built for this year and to optimize the car for one of the things that will be stable during the season can be a viable strategy. Lets not […]

That is much the same as saying Brawn should not have relied on a diffusor interpretation not everyone had @vettel1. Or saying Red Bull was wrong to assume that focusing on outright downforce would be good, or […]

I would say Ron Dennis is not universally loved (nor is Ross Brawn really) either, so Horner is in pretty good company there @john-h!
Personally I am not too sure its the right way to hand these kind of things […]

I think that will be part of it, yes. Keith has mentioned a couple of times that he does not like to make the “what happened” part of the roundup fixed on deaths (people went as far as to complain about not […]
