James commented on the post, Hamilton: Car went from “terrible” to “amazing” 3 weeks, 6 days ago
@wrsgo sorry, but what are you expecting him to say in an interview? Do you want him to give out a load of technical details? The last time he publicly exposed some technical information, he was hanged for it […]

James commented on the post, Button and Massa say current tyres are good for F1 1 month ago
I agree with Massa on this:
I think what is the problems is to choose right the difference between all the tyres: super soft, soft, medium and hard. I think that’s the little thing they need to work in the […]

James commented on the post, Pirelli swaps soft tyre for medium in Bahrain 1 month ago
So, people were complaining about the soft compound all during the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, and now Pirelli have ditched it for Bahrain, they’re complaining about that too??
There’s no pleasing some people.

James commented on the post, Rosberg’s technical problems “not acceptable” 1 month ago
I have a theory that the odd numbered Mercedes car is unlucky.
In the three seasons where Rosberg had Schumacher as team-mate, he only had 1 retirement (out of 7) due to a technical/procedural fault (his wheel […]

@wrsgo didn’t he say first British pole-sitter? Which is true.

That was only in Jerez. They had it fitted correctly at both Barcelona tests.

Team Principle of the current dominant team in F1 says the sport needs stable regulations? Well, I am shocked! Who would have thought that he wouldn’t want regulation changes!?

Of course Horner wants stable regulations, Red Bull will keep on winning! ;)

I don’t like the Lola. At all. It’s far too busy.
The Jordan on the other hand… WOW.

Because it’s another €20m per year for Ferrari?

James commented on the post, Why Mark Webber’s next move may be from Casey Stoner’s playbook 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Now I know that team orders are allowed, at least so one says, but despite the fact that it’s called an ‘order’, is the driver obliged to obey?
If your boss tells you to do something, are you allowed to disobey […]

James commented on the post, Why Mark Webber’s next move may be from Casey Stoner’s playbook 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Going against the general opinion but I thought this was a good article. Keith hasn’t said anything like “this will definitely happen” but, as he has actually spent some time speaking to Webber, I’d suggest he’s […]

James commented on the post, Why Mark Webber’s next move may be from Casey Stoner’s playbook 1 month, 3 weeks ago
@hellotraverse But RBR (supposedly) don’t have a number 1 and number 2 driver policy, do they? So, Vettel earning the right is a moot point. Everyone starts the season on equal points. Also, on Sunday the team […]

That was my interpretation too @mike

I could not agree more @maroonjack

James commented on the post, Were Red Bull & Mercedes right to use team orders? 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Though perhaps some of the difference is down to “I like Rosberg, but I don’t like Vettel,” which is obviously not a rational position to hold, and perhaps what you were getting at
@red-andy It is partly what I […]

James commented on the post, Were Red Bull & Mercedes right to use team orders? 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Rosberg was being told to save fuel as well, and would not have been able to push fast enough or long enough to catch either Red Bull. As far as I know, Red Bull weren’t marginal on fuel so could have instructed […]

50/44 for RBR now, 17/78 for Mercedes.
Team orders are either right or wrong, not dependant on team or reasons for deploying them.

@gdog Webber actually has the backing and loyalty of Dietrich, probably an appreciation of all he has done for the team since they bought out Jaguar Ford. Vettel is Helmut’s protegé, which is unsurprising given he […]

The side by side of Button and Perez cooling off looks like the’re trying to blow dry Jenson’s hair through his helmet. Wonder if he still uses Head and Shoulders.
