Out of interest, did the commentators on Sky spot MSC’s wheel problem during the pit stop ? The BBC missed it, even though I’m sure many viewers realised there was a problem as MSC pulled away.

Go to http://bbcstreams.com/ and paste the link into the Open Stream… dialogue in VLC

The delay is a slight problem (same with live timing) but with something like VLC I believe you can delay the audio stream by a couple of seconds to sync it all up.

Something I forgot to mention is that the Diseqc switch lives outside near the dishes, so there’s no extra cabling to go in/out of the house. Just a couple of short pieces about a 1.5m each to link the two dishes to the switch.

Whilst online petitions, protest groups, writing to your MP etc. are all very laudable I’m afraid in this case I think it’s very unlikely to make any difference.

I was involved in a long and expensive campaign to fight a change to a tax law for self-employed computer programmers many years ago.

A group was created with many thousands of members contributing 50 pounds each to a fighting fund. Online petitions organised, MP letter writing, an Early Day Motion and even with a team of lawyers managed to get a Judicial Review in the High Court.

    We lost !

Sorry if it sounds cynical, but we are stuck with it. Been there, got the T-shirt (and it was an expensive T-Shirt)

I’ve missed one race in over 20 years, so I’m gutted.

You are better off spending your time and money on a cheap digital satellite box and dish and pointing it at Astra 19.2E and watch it free on Austrian, German or French TV. Listen on R5 and switch channels between the adverts !

Re: BasCB – Because you are now required to login, the predictions allow you to modify your prediction up until the deadline. If you come back and visit the page it will show your last entry.

Previously (before the login requirement) there was no reliable and secure way to check if a returning visitor was the same person, hence the no modification restrictions before.
