@ivz – The two pods either side of the airbox are actually vents for the passive double-DRS system. However, Lotus is still struggling to make it work, so they’re keeping the vents sealed for the time being.

It was not FIA that came up with DRS, @ivz, it was an idea from the teams (in FOTA) and the FIA took this proposal of theirs into the rules.

@ivz But aero is much harder to control as the teams all have their own chassis! Plus, we still get odd aero quirks here and there which is how it should be, rather than a free for all, in my opinion.

@ivz – They (Horner & Newey) weren’t necessarily jumping around today on the pitwall when Vettel got pole, it actually looked similar to last week. The only difference was Marko going around the pitwall.

@ivz, once you stop early you are locked into another stop but if you go long on your 1st. stop you still have the choice to 1 or 2 stop . More top speed would have been handy but would have compromised downforce […]
