My apologies, I meant for the 2008 and 2009 grid, as was mentioned above.

I can assure you they did not clean up the grid in Singapore. I remember Martin Brundle talking about it on his grid walk one year. It has to be 100% agreed between the drivers

@fer-no65 I think this was requested in the drivers meeting, but it required all drivers consenting to this. However, one driver didnt and the grid therefore wasnt cleaned up. I dont know or remember who it was, but you’d imagine it would have been the pole sitter.

@keeleyobsessed James Allen would be great as an anchor, although he has himself said he is happy with where he is, doing what he’s doing at the moment (he has other commitments beyond 5live). In fact, I think he is an anchor for an Australian show covering Grand Prix?

Lazenby has been far better this year compared with Jake anyway. Simon is doing a solid job and reckon he’ll improve with time, he has a great team alongside him.

Back to Jake, I think his best year was his first, and the standout moment for me was when he, EJ and DC were in the Brawn GP garage getting involved in the celebrations.

These guys have a long way to go if they want to even consider getting a race seat in a higher Formula of racing. Racing in torrential rain on slicks doesnt work. You can get away with it in karts (just…!), but not in machinary like this.

Incredible! I wouldnt be suprised if they built more again next year. This event is always such a hit. I need to get myself back up there. Havent been since 2008, but know I’m gonna have to again soon!

I really hope that Sky pair James Allen with Martin Brundle. You lot can say and think what you like, but that was some great commentary between those guys. Best I’ve ever heard it, Murray’s high pitched squel of a pig impressions just didnt do it for me, as much as I like the fella…!
