On the same topic, that was quite funny to see Bianchi holding behind the leaders for some laps just after being lapped … Quite used to see backmarkers disapear very quickly behind the leading guys

@bascb I think a ban based on the 12 points won’t give any more point but it is for someone receiving a race ban for something else …

Jeanrien commented on the post, Porsche chose Le Mans over F1 for “road relevance” 4 weeks ago
@bascb Audi is so performant in LMP1 they don’t really have to come to F1, and it’s best for them not to … if they are not up front, there will be comparaison between series and a very successfull brand which is […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Alonso rues ‘two unlucky moments in four races’ 4 weeks, 1 day ago
@xjr15jaaag Yes in a way you’re right, a mechanical failure could be considered as unlucky (particulary for this one) … Now it happens at a “great” time for the team, the first pit was almost at the time where […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Alonso rues ‘two unlucky moments in four races’ 1 month ago
@xjr15jaaag I don’t see how this is unlucky either … He got the flap stuck on open at a time around the first window of pit stop, so no real harm done. He got it fixed and changed tyres. Why did he have to try […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Sebastian Vettel wins the Bahrain Grand Prix 1 month ago
@lajo agree on that … If they wanted to try it anyway they should have done so before a planned pit. Running a stint without DRS then trying it before changing tyres for the second time, this way they won’t have […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Raikkonen on top for Lotus in second practice 1 month ago
@akshay depends what is listed … Force India has a quicker car than McLaren at the moment but I don’t feel their drivers make the most of it while Button quite manage his car (compared to Perez).
On car alone, […] -

Forgot about Ricciardo, not the guy I’m used to think off … I already vote or it would be his.
Nothing to chose from on the front, Button doing a nice job with the McLaren but quite some way off pace. […] -

Jeanrien commented on the post, Extra pre-season test mooted for 2014 1 month, 2 weeks ago
About COTD, that’s quite difficult to compare era’s even with corrected. We would have to add that as cars were less reliable they were more likely to finish high in the ranking as less car would finish the race. […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Red Bull claim new pit stop record of 2.05 seconds 1 month, 2 weeks ago
@andae23 At the end it’s the time stop/released that counts anyway. It’s quite interesting to compare those number with the pit stop time. For example the stop of Webber on lap 43 is 21 hundredths slower than his […]

Jeanrien commented on the post, Vote for your Malaysian GP driver of the weekend 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Had the same kind of reflexion. After that kind of race, difficult to pick one of the 4 guys up front and for the rest Button and Bianchi did the best job with the car they had (with a mention to Hulkenberg which […]

What if a driver loses his radio during the race … He could still see the flags around the track but he won’t know if DRS is enabled/disabled for example

@adrianmorse Nice thoughts (start from P11* but doesn’t change much to your point)
If we take 1 sec lost every 5 laps (which was about the degradation seen in testing), that mean that a quali lap take out […]
