JerseyF1 commented on the post, Ferrari join Lotus in criticising tyre revisions 5 days, 13 hours ago
Ferrari’s strategy in Barcelona to stop four time was choice, it wasn’t forced upon them as shown by other teams stopping only three times. In both 2004 and 2013 Ferrari made their strategy work to win the race […]

Presumably still the Toyota one, since engines don’t need to be tested in a wind tunnel.

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Alonso splits Red Bulls in close session 1 week, 5 days ago
In 2007 hamilton vs Alonso in qualifying was 10-7 in hamilton’s favor…
Considering he was up against Hamilton who was a rookie , that was a pretty poor showing from a double world champion :) -
JerseyF1 commented on the post, Why do F1 cars keep running out of fuel? 3 weeks, 2 days ago
its not an interesting facet of technical competition
Not only is at a very interesting part of technical innovation, but it is one of the major drivers behind the 2014 regulations as fuel is severely limited […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Pirelli to make hard tyre more durable 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Since we haven’t even got a tyre supplier for 2014 let alone any tyre specifications surely it’s going to be difficult to solve that particular problem no matter how much resource you have.

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Pirelli to make hard tyre more durable 3 weeks, 6 days ago
At least this comment makes a change from the usual chorus of “Vettel didn’t win the world championship, it was Adrian Newey”, though the suggestion that Paul Hembery is solely responsible for Vettel’s triple […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Alonso: Raikkonen ‘driving better than anyone’ 1 month ago
I heard Lewis regularly out qualified Button by 5 seconds
Even if you take 5 seconds off Jenson’s Q3 “time” he’s still nowhere near the 3rd row of the grid!

@brny666 I don’t think he is justifying torture, he’s just saying that everyone should keep quiet about it lest it spoils his enjoyment of the race.

I actually think the opposite is true also. Yes the Bahrain government uses F1 for propaganda but so does the opposition use it to give their plight international exposure. If […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Chinese GP Driver of the Weekend 1 month, 1 week ago
I voted for Alonso, and I really don’t often do that. The way he was able to use DRS to his advantage by overtaking after the detection line and before the activation point so that he could extend his advantage […]

He overtook after the line, they changed the safety car rules after this but gave Schumacher a penalty based on the rules after the change nonetheless.

I heard that row 4 is 16m further forward than row 5.
If so, then Jenson has outsmarted Sebastian big time.

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Ecclestone: Red Bull and Mercedes wrong to use team orders 1 month, 3 weeks ago
If you’ve ever watched any rallying you would realise that crashing is fairly common. Every time Kubica crashes it makes F1 headlines, but in reality most of the time it’s not a big deal (apart from the original […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Ecclestone: Red Bull and Mercedes wrong to use team orders 1 month, 3 weeks ago
There is nothing in this, he was asked if Kubica could be a candidate for a 2014 seat and he said that if he is completely ready for a return then he will be among the candidates.
Let’s just say that Eric […]

@montreal95 @david-a
I don’t think the stage of the season has got anything to do with it. There are two types of team orders which are quite separate:The first is where there is a number 1 and number 2 […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Alonso defends decision not to change broken wing 1 month, 4 weeks ago
As soon as Alonso passed the pit entrance I thought that they would have to show him a black flag as it was clearly going to be dangerous if the wing dropped off. Webber was lucky that Alonso didn’t take him out […]

JerseyF1 commented on the post, Webber: Vettel will be ‘protected’ in team orders row 1 month, 4 weeks ago
I would love Red Bull to replace Vettel for a race as punishment. The problem is (and Vettel knows it) that Red Bull would never do that for several reasons. Not least because it is Vettel who has secured the […]
