To be fair, That is a very good layout on paper.. But you hit the nail on the head with the existing layout being the deciding factor at the end of the day, either through narrowness or lack of run off..

According to Mercedes, There were 14 DRS overtakes vs 44 non DRS overtakes last year.. As i remember the overtaking corner of choice was going into or coming out of T4

I agree that it’s not needed.. I think DRS would of been better suited during the Bridgestone tyre era (2009-2010).. The Pirelli tryes pretty much do exactly what was wanted from DRS anyway..

According to Mercedes, There were 38 non DRS passes vs 27 DRS passes last year.
(exc. passes for damage/first lap passes etc i imagine). -
